Funny how you mention blackballing. Just ask any conservative in Hollywood about blackballing/blacklists and they will give you the full truth.

Source please???

Guilt by association didn't work in 2008.

It isn't going to work in 2012 after he has been POTUS for 3 years.

But this is all conservatives have...the fear game...try to scare people into voting AGAINST Obama...because they damn well know they can't try to convince people to vote FOR their candidate.

Hopefully after 3 years of No Hope and No Change the free thinkers that gave Obama a chance in 2008 may now think twice and dig a little deeper regarding the past of the man who would be king.

I mentioned the fact that hard evidence is hard to come by. It's those darn sealed records. His 1997-2004 records would be quite enlightening. Those records will never see the light of day. Therefore, I am satisfied that there is sufficient evidence otherwise to create reasonable doubt in a rational mind.

Thats a myth. Arnold Schwarzenegger has always been pretty hard right (for a Californian, but even in general), and he never had any issues...he was always back.

Bruce Willis, James Woods, Mel Gibson, etc. There are lots of A list actors that do just fine being a conservative in hollywood.
Some whine and moan, suggesting their political ideology is holding them back from more jobs. Sure...if you say so..probably has nothing to do with you either being typecast or simply a bad actor...now go fetch me a refill on my ice tea and complain to the chef of how the man is holding you back.

I thought conservatives didn't like whiners using excuses for failure...

There are more liberals in hollywood, yes, because actors tend to serve an international audience..and not sure if your aware of this, conservative ideology tends to focus on american idealism strictly. (freedom fries anyone).

This argument is akin to janeane garofalo saying she doesn't get good roles because the conservatives in hollywood supress her....no..its because your a basketcase whom gave up your career in order to become a more rabid activist and have given yourself an unpopular view to all but your very core fans....

see my post above. The few big names that you mentioned were actually making big money for hollywood at the time during their career peaks. Money trumps all. What are those guys doing now? What happened to Gibson (not sure where he falls) when he opened his mouth a little too far. ?

A little more on Obama's friends. These are just those with antisemitic views among other views

Last week's release of the Barack Obama/Derrick Bell Harvard tape was seen by many as another example of the President’s long history associating with radicals.

There is another interpretation, however. When Obama urged people to open up their hearts and minds to Bell, it was another case of him “cozying up" to an antisemite. Understand--we are not talking about people who are anti-Israel (although there is a huge crossover of the two) but people who regularly use antisemitic stereotypes or more directly derogatory comments about Jews.

Here are some examples:

Its a who's who visit the link

And there are plenty more where that came from, including the chairman of his transition committee, John Podesta, who is now head of the Center for American Progress (CAP). Both CAP and its “child” organization, Media Matters for America (MMfA), have been cited by the Simon Wiesenthal Center for promoting the antisemitic meme that Jews are not loyal to America.

Heard this one before

Many critics of this analysis will call the above “guilt by association;” at least, that’s what they did to similar stories in 2008.

Please understand clearly that it is not my contention that the President of the United States is an antisemite; I have seen no evidence to that fact. I do contend that he has a nasty habit of associating with Jew-haters.

Why does Barack Obama seem to gravitate to Jew-haters? Is it because he agrees with their hatred? Is he unaware? Or is he just insensitive?

WHY? Why would a man who campaigned on Hope and Change gravitate to these people on such a consistent basis? How are groups like Media Matters able to maintain tax exempt status while preaching what they do all the while having the Obama White House on speed dial? What gives?

www.breitbart.com...

Is it any wonder that an ever growing number of people in this nation are left scratching their heads regarding his past and his well documented relationships?? Then of course you can move on to his executive orders, signing statements, czar appointments, and dissections of the constitution from there.

Do tell how can socialism and communism work in a Constitutional Republic?

It can't which is why this country is failing.

A representative republic can exist under most any economic model.

A republic does not have to be pure capitalist. One has nothing to do with the other.

Allowing the wealthiest in a country to dictate all the rules of society and
subverting the political process is a much more effective way to kill liberty.
That is exactly what conservatism represents, thanks.

Well obviously you "free thinkers" can't go against his record or policies...so you will just try the same old tired guilt by association.

The fact that you and others are pushing this angle so much just speaks volumes as to how successful Obama has been.

McCarthyism is the practice of making accusations of disloyalty, subversion, or treason without proper regard for evidence.

I thought this country got through this period a long time ago....but I guess not.

Hi Outcast,
I don't have to watch the video to know that your "guess not" statement is true.
Joe was shut down by big Soviet money. By the ones that excaped Stalin's purge.
Thier decendants are quite active in most every country world wide.
You do notice how the American media has become the Pravda of the old USSR?
And political correctness has replaced freedom of speech via goverment control.
Pretty scary as these folks shoot first and ask questions, errr, no they don't even ask any questions later.

Can someone please use their Neo decoder ring and decipher what the above is stating?

I think he's trying to state that economic policies and forms of Government are always intertwined, but I cannot make any sense of what he actually wrote.

No because the last 3 years have said that is what Liberalism,Democrats has done and continues to do but then again conservatives are not the topic of the thread.

Feel free to run with his troll tho.

How do you explain the influence of wealthy progressives on politics and the media? especially the current administration? They want a new country modeled after their own ideology... Hence the beatdown that has been inflicted on our constitution over the last 3 years.

What does any of what you just said have to do with this Government needing to abide by a purely capitalist system?

I'm not trolling, I'm actually trying to help you stay on track. Sadly though, you continually show yourself to be only interested in slandering the left and in particularly President Obama. You never add any susbstance or critical thought to the discussion and frankly you'd be better suited to changing your name to "Obama Bad".

Sure we can. That's the easy part. Just ask the independent voters that Obama is losing. Everything else is just more ammo in the locker. Ammo that never saw the light of day in 2008. Time for some fresh air!!

A majority of independent voters have soured on Obama's presidency, disapprove of his handling of the economy and do not have a clear idea of what he hopes to accomplish if re-elected, the Times reported.

Only 31 percent of independent voters have a favorable opinion of the president and two-thirds say he has not made real progress in fixing the economy, the newspaper said.

In 2008, Obama won support from 52 percent of independent voters, compared with 44 percent who supported Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

Just look at was he has done with the Department of Health and Human Services and the sweeping power that he has given to Sebelius. Power that one person should not have in our system. Power that was given to her through Obamacare. Checks and Balances?? Nope. Sebelius answers to no one.

We could then take the same route down the path to the EPA.

The constitution makes it pretty clear where the legislative authority resides "Article I, Section 1 says: “All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”

Obama seems to think otherwise...
