There is a tunnel in Atlanta.

It goes from Underground Atlanta north to Marietta during the war of northern aggression

The what? Oh the civil war, right.

we put gold in the tunnel and then blew the tunnel up that way the north would not get our valuables.

Smart. Wonder why you guys lost that war.

There are also rumors of a tunnel system connecting Ft McPherson and Ft Gilliam with Lockheed in Marietta.

At my university there wre a series of underground tunnels that connected residence dorms to lecture hall complexes. Underneath that was an industrial tunnel that connected the main campus to the inside of the power plant. There was edvidence to suggest that some other people had been down there, I would assume fraternities, but no telling how long ago. The industrial tunnel was strictly off-access for anyone other than plant workers and the like (well, why should they let people walk around were superheated steam was travelleing in old pipes under enourmous pressure?).

I do not know if the tunnels here in Almada have some relation with ancient religions, but I suppose not, because the place where they are was not used in ancient times, maybe only from the XVI century until today.

I do not know if there is any relation with the tunnels, but it was found more or less 1Km to the East of the tunnels a village from the Bronze age with another larger village from the Iron age beside, and in this village they found lots of Phoenician artefacts.

Where are these underground tunnels in the Rockies? I'll check them out myself as long as they aren't under Cheyenne.

Actually, you must be referring to Cheyenne Mountain... there are tunnels under Cheyenne (Wyo), lol. They are closed off, but are basically passages for escape by high-profile figures in case of cotastrophe since we are supported mainly by FE Warren AFB. As far as I know, most townships have tunnel systems like these.

The tunnels in Brazil... there was another thread about a tunnel system in central america somewhere, where it is believed that demons or something haunt it. Searching for ATS link...

Can't find it. If I remember right, there have been many people who have disappeared in this complex, including a whole group of schoolchildren. I know peeps have disappeared, but I can't remember for sure whether the missing kids were in that system or a different one. Anyone else remember the thread this was on? It was all carved out of rock.

You'll be in brazil, with "girlfriends and your concerned about anything going on here? One girlfriend, well, perhaps one would get boring, but girlfriendssss?

Yes, Malta... that is the one. Thnx... no wonder I couldn't find it.

I have heard many stories about ancient tunnels in S.A.... considering the vastness of the tunnels in Vietnam (that they uncovered during the "war"), I don't doubt that there are lots of these all over the world. I've heard reports of such tunnels here in the Rockies, around my area, but somehow nobody knows anything about them.

Erich Von Daniken has a book called gold of gods all about the tunnels under brazil, there quite a few photos of the tunnel block work all done to precison like stone at the pyramids.

also supposed to statues of every kind of animal made out of gold in a large antichamber, but the tribesmen who took him there would not let him take photos, of that so no real evidence of that still a good book though

erich von daineken is weird lol he is kinda out there even for me,

i have also heard of tunnel systems in peru, but the only way to find the tunnel is to read a volnaic stone in ilo, peru and the characters can only be seen on the sunrise of the solciste. lol, seriously i heard this.

i'm gonna organize an expedition there now. does anyone know how wide these tunels are? cause if they are wide enough for quad bikes it would sped up the journey.

if you check into it, there are quite a few stories about a vast underground tunnel system alledgedly running throughout south america. some would even claim that the tunnel system extends to north america.

here's some links:
www.stangrist.com...
www.habtheory.com... (story about juan moricz)

if you do some searching you will also notice quite a few of the sites on this topic cut and paste stories from each other....

yup, this is semi true, the writings are on a rock face but they can be seen when the sun is in certain positions at times of the day-i read all this but im dammed if i can find it for you now,ill keep looking.

Quad bikes??? in tunnels?? youd be better off with something electric, the risk of poisoning your self with the exhaust fumes would be a major factor+ coming round a corner and finding your just about to drop down a big hole wouldnt be fun (unless you like falling in holes, obviously?) The tunnels i mentioned were said to be 2.5m high consistentley and approx 3.5metres wide so it shouldnt be hard to take a vehicle of some kind down there to carry supplys for a long term stay/explore-speed will probably not be an advantage if your trying to discover anything ie,more haste, less speed.

All these tunnels make me wonder too.. any1 heard about the Hollow Earth Theory?
www.v-j-enterprises.com...
www.ourhollowearth.com...
www.qsl.net...

"Admiral Richard E. Byrd of the United States Navy flew to the North Pole in 1926 and over the South Pole in 1929.
In his diary, he tells of entering the hollow interior of the earth, along with others and traveling 17 miles over mountains, lakes, rivers, green vegetation, and animal life. He tells of seeing tremendous animals --resembling the mammoths of antiquity moving --through the brush. He eventually found cities and a thriving civilization. The external temperature was 74 degress F.

His airplane was greeted by flying machines of a type he had never seen before. They escorted him to a safe landing area where he was graciously greeted by emissaries from Agartha. After resting, he and his crew, were taken to meet the king and queen of Agartha. They told him that he had been allowed to enter Agartha because of his high moral and ethical character. They went on to say that they worried about the safety of planet due to he bombs and other testing done above the surface by goverments. After the visit Byrd and his crew were guided back to the surface of the planet.

In January of 1956 Admiral Byrd led an expedition to the South Pole. On that expedition he and his crew penetrated down 2,300 miles into the center of the earth. Admiral Byrd stated that the North and South Poles are only two of many openings into the center of the Earth. He wrote about seeing a sun below the Earth. "
More stuff on google:
www.google.dk...

This would even make sense with the bible, if you are the religious type. According to the bible, man were thrown out, of the garden of eden (inside protected earth), so we must be on the surface?

There are even some old masonic texts that says they conducted an experiment in the early days. They build two shafts of 100 meteres in depth, 1000 apart. In those shafts they hang a pendulum. So, if they were living on the outside of a round planet, the space between the pendulums in the bottom of the shaft must be lesser than the space between the top of the shafts.
Apparently the experiment turned out to show an increased space between the pendulums in the bottom of the shaft, indicating that we are infact living inside the earth.

A funny thing about gravity is that nobody can prove wheter an object are pushed down to the ground, or are pulled down.

The theory of the hollow Earth is one of the most baseless.
There are too many things against it.

ya i dont think the tunnels (if they really exist) are necissarily related to the hollow earth theory. couple things that are really interesting about the myths is the hall with the metal discs in it and the story that the indians (i forget if it was inca or mayans) that were conquered by the spanish hid a huge amount of their gold and such in the tunnels then buried the entrance to the tunnel. it would be real interesting for something like the discovery channel to do some ground penetrating radar around some of the places where these tunnel complexes are said to run.

its not a question of "if" they do exsist, its just some of the fantastic tales of gold and treasure being hidden and found in them that seems to be un-substantionated and too iregular to be consistent with expeditions that have been despatched down them.
I agree it would make for fantastic viewing if the discovery channel made a programme about them (they probably already have?),i think its the fact that as i stated in my original post you have to travel vast distances underground to "break new territory" if youll pardon the exspression, the ones i mentioned in Brazil are easily accesible to tourists, its just that your average tourist isnt probably geared up for trecking miles underground-but id be up for some investigations myself,Brazil anyone?

Regards.
