Oh look, they brought down a webpage. Must be a CIA front. You hackers on steroids you. Can hardly wait for all the breathless headlines saying Anonymous super hackers struck again, delivering a critical blow to international law enforcement groups. It's basically spray painting the word **** on someones door. Easy to fix, a mild nuisance.

forgive my ignorance im not up to speed on the whole Anonymous thing but what exactly do Anon expect to acheive from doing this?
what is there ultimate goal?
and who elected them the freedom fighters voice of the internet

as a very old chinese proverb says

i have heard many comments about Anon some sympathise for there cause but a lot of people seem there more of an annoyance

hopefully somebody could shed some light on this subject for a confused old man

I don't think Anon really elected themselves to be the voice of the people, more like there was no other voice loud enough.
It's not about one persons views, it's about the views and opinions of the collective, coordinated in one direction. All packaged together to form Anonymous.

i cant really say that i suppor nor condone them as im not clued up enough to have a properly informed voice

i have heard tho that sometimes regular working day people do get caught in the crossfire such as the visa thing that happend

why should joe public get stuffed for 1 when all hes doing is going about his daily business and just because he uses a service such as that his details get leaked

if Anons true cause is for non censorship of the net and to unravel the lies im all for that but surely they could try keep leaks to joe public at a minimum i dont think i would like my details leaked from such corporations if Anon attacked them as im just joe public and kind of an innocent bystander in all this currently happening

once again thanks for the information you have posted i will certainly be doing more reading and hopefully gain a better knowledge of what its all about

You're welcome, if anything it goes to show just how much we rely on these corporations and how much control they actually have on our lives. Anon are not out to mess with Joe, just those that try and control Joe.

Nothing but doing something 'damaging' as you put it serves only to justify being branded a terrorist.

Exposure of the corrupt will show who is who and why things are going the way they are if we allow it.
