Nice...But if some poor white actor/musician got on the television and proclaimed "White power', there would be such an outcry that Jesse Jackson would swoop down like a torrent of lava....Friggin hypocrite

So you mean black candidates to become firemen were passed over and bypassed in the same way as 'Historically Black Colleges' pass over and bypass white applicants?

That's racist.

You are very quick to pull the race card.

I said non-blacks may be dissuaded to apply because of the unfavorable demographic, historically black colleges would cease to exist if they judged candidates based on their race. They would get no federal funding, litigation would surely follow, and i'm sure such a thing is prohibited by law.

Wouldn't a black only college be considered along the lines of black privilege? Do I smell hypocrisy on the forums today?

There is no such thing as a black only college in the United States of America. Persons who are not black might be dissuaded from attending a historically black college for obvious reasons, but of course anyone can apply and be accepted regardless of race. The mission of a historically black college is to maintain and promote the legacy of higher education of black people.

So its a black collage then how would you feel if we had a white collage

A collage?

Go ahead and make a decorative assortment of pictures and clippings celebrating your European lineage

You are a funny one.
I know a little girl, black father and white mother, her name is Alycia.
She is a handful, quite bright. I drew a picture of her to show her how easy it is.
Anyway,
as for the "dominant" gene that you refer to, I don't see it. I don't see a black girl, and I don't see a white girl.
I see Alycia.
Her daddy wasn't trying to do anything other than have a little girl as far as I can tell. It doesn't mean of course, that I agree with everything he says and does. To criticize anything he says or does might be considered racist here....
but, HE WOULDN'T GIVE A #.
Isn't that funny?

At least you brought a little light heartedness to the thread
Star for that one. I would give you an applause If I were able to.
If I were you, I honestly would not have gone that route! Something that simple helped me slip out of the hatred that is starting to exude through this thread, as it often does with taboo subjects.

CaptainNemo, there is a man of character!

That is good that that is how you see her. That is how it should be. But, keep in mind, that when a purple person has more fast twitch muscle fibers than a green person, they are not the same/equal. When a pink person has a straight femur bone where a blue person has a curved femur bone, they are not equal. Correct? When you take 2 races and 1 race has a different center of gravity than the other race, they are then different, right? Black is the dominate gene. Plain and simple. And that was part of my point. But most likely she will physically and sexually mature faster (a black trait) than say a predominately white girl. That you can find in all kinds of medical literature and google is your friend.

Again Captain; you scare me a great deal with your obvious lack of knowledge coupled with the desire to share incorrect concepts with the public as if they are fact. If you are of voting age I will double down on that fear.

The system of checks and balances to which you refer in terms of the U.S. government is with regard to the balance of power between the three branches of government not the many races of the countries residents.

There is a failed experiment called affirmative action which allotted preference to minorities in hiring for government employment in the hopes it would break the cycle of poverty - we all see how well that worked. Perhaps that is what you are confusing with checks and balances? I don't know...

Where do you come up with this stuff...?

All of what you just said would be applicable to me if I said anything about minority voting. I said nothing about minority voting. Somebody implied that since Obama was president, blacks had the most governmental influence. You completely took that out of context, I even quoted the guy. Maybe when I say governmental influence you're getting confused. You explained how checks and balances worked, good for you I applied the exact same concept to MY estimate. When did I ever pass that off as a fact?

I understand a bit about the so called "dominant" traits that you speak of. They are relatively easy to distinguish because you speak of some physical traits as if they are dominant.
Funny.
None are dominant, unless nature wants them to be. Human nature that is, as long as humans run things.

To continue...since we are on the subject.
The most dominant traits are not going to be recognized here, unless you possess the ability to understand HOW the masses are controlled. If you don't understand that the brain is the most influential organ or muscle that one could ever possess, then you can not begin to understand how you could be manipulated to use your own "traits" against yourself.
The human race faces a very real enemy, and it is each other. We simply don't have the capacity to move beyond relatively simple concepts...like skin color as a barrier. This results in us fighting wars FOR people we have never met and who would never allow us to sit at the same table with them...AGAINST people we have never met that would probably allow us to share a meal with them.
We are truly pathetic.

"What's good for the goose is good for the gander" so yes, I think it was by definition "racist" regardless of what connotations one would like to add to said comment. I personally do not subscribe to the you have to be part of our herd mentality to fit in because of the melanin content of individual peoples either, because at the end of the day nobody will take of you like you would

The only people opposing black power on here just want to ruffle feathers. It's about statistics and idiots trying to prove how f*cked up the black community is. F*ck you guys..... Closeeeeee it......

Yes.. Ok.. Nice one on that Rampage that you had there, so tell me again, where is people putting down african americans??.
Are we not allowed to have a debate on such a subject now??..
And saying the F word to a lot of people. including myself is a very rude remark imo.
All we are saying that in 2012 the is no difference.
Its all racist slurs now, and soon it will be classed as such. Dont get mad over such matters....

I've been following this thread for a bit and seen a lot of racist crap from certain scary individuals... I'm not talking about the last "5" pages either it's been goin on since almost the beginning of the thread. But I bet you, the majority of people on this site , or at least reading this thread are white, I could be wrong. So it doesn't matter. Mybad if I offended you, or you, or you, it's a stupid thread. Now if you excuse me I'm going to go bang my white girlfriend... And she's gonna love it.. No lie...

I ask this question in a serious way - Is English not your native language?

I think it was quite clear that you were implying that not only were blacks not in power but that they were indeed under represented as a race in the government proportional to the demographics of the population at large. I honestly don't know where or how you inserted "checks and balances" or the concept of it into your point so I had to make some inferences based on your sentence construction.

I was the one who mentioned voting - as in clearly you don't know enough about the structure of government and its role to vote responsibly. Further, your insistence that "black power" is a slogan that implies or entreats people to unity was not true when it was originated nor is it true today. See earlier posts for links....

See? They're excluding themselves from the 'group'. Not the other way around

Come on, would it NOT be the most natural thing for any group of people to excluding themself from the rest of the people if those people have excluded that particular group for decades and decades? It's just the same kind of continuance of the situation, only that now the group is finally comfortable with their own identity.

In this day and age there are so much more important, pressing matters in our world, people really should ( try to ) get over all the color / religion/ gay issues.

The real problem I have with this is our primary weapon to defend ourselves is unity. Giving praise to Blacks, is just uniting them. We are all humans and should be working together regardless of the skin color, the black and white argument is so old and dated, anyone who still looks at someone as black needs a newsflash, seriously. This is getting old, and P. Diddy is a worthless being, who has done nothing but "ball out" with his drug / gangster money. He's a joke.

Yes English is my native language.

And I saw your previous posts. Once again you completely overlooked parts of my post in order to paint the black power movement with some kind of sinister agenda. The words black power were first Adam Clayton Powell Jr. in 1966:

"To demand these God-given rights is to seek black power."

Empowerment and unity.
Of course there are going to be dissidents and deviations of the original goals, but it's just how society views these two sayings (WP & BP). You can't argue correctness with everyone sometimes you just have to let things run it's course.

Can we just agree that the connotation of "white power" is much more abrasive?
