Good morning, ATS members.
I am Erek, or Vex, whichever you feel so inclined to address me by. I have been a member of this website for many months (a 'lurker' for longer than
that), but I tend to be more of a reader than participant, so I never composed an introduction post for myself. I have started to feel that this was a
little rude of me, so I thought that it was time that I rectified the situation.
As i have said, I do not post or comment very often, but I enjoy many of the threads that I read here. Being a Minister (Church of affiliation to
remain nameless, thank you) I am especially partial to religious topics, but you will not find me preaching to or chastising others for holding
beliefs other than my own. In fact, I rather love learning what beliefs others are passionate about, be they spiritual or otherwise.
On a more personal note, I love music above all things. I am a fan of metal (black, death, doom, thrash...you name it), industrial, classical, opera,
and even country (although I prefer older country music rather than most of the new country I have heard). I have my own solo music project,
Stygiophilia (industrial black metal), that I have been playing at for many years. I am also a rather big theatre buff, musical or otherwise.
Books are another passion of mine, and I love nothing more than to spend hours upon hours listening to music while I read. My favourite books are by
the author, and my friend, Thomas E. Sniegoski. I also highly enjoy the novels of Christopher Moore, Neil Gaiman and Clive Barker (especially his
books of plays). I will watch any film involving Guillermo del Toro. As something of a make-up artist myself, I always love to see the make-up work
and creature designs in his films.
I am more than a bit of a World of Warcraft 'nerd', as well as a proud Brony. WoW and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic accomplish the difficult
task of bringing some semblance of joy to my otherwise tedious world. I also write a web comic, Satan Saves!, that amuses me greatly when nothing else
seems to do the trick.
Well, I suppose that I have rambled on enough for now. It is a pleasure to finally greet you all properly, and I look forward to my occasional
interactions with all of you.
