Ok as everybody knows the best way to cure global warming is to prevent it. But what do we do if we don't stop it. And trust me at the rate we're going we won't until its too late. So what to do to reverse global warming. I figure if we can start it we can stop it. What if we purposly created a controlled nuclear winter or something like that. Figure if we create some kind of fusion bomb then we could do this without the whole radiation problem. So any ideas on what we would do if we didn't stop global warming. Or would we actually get colder like in The Day After Tommorow?

Prevention is always better than cure

Global warming is uncontrolable. Volcanos errupt, forrest catch on fire, gas pocket in the earth get realeased in earthqaukes quite often and yes... animals fart. Dont worry about it man...the earth will find a balance sooner or later with or with out the human race. Beside aliens will invade our planet and then earth wil be destroyed by comets, by then the NWO will have a firm hold on whats left...let them deal with it.

You know, the best way to do this, is to get rid of all the chemicals that harm our atmosphere and change it for something different, alternative, such as:

1)Deodrant, everyone change from deodrant to the apply/roll on ones

2)Hair spray--> put on a cream while hair is wet, style and it stays.

3)Give a total ban for Tabacco (lets see how long they'll last on that one! he he he)

4)Car fumes will be wiped out completely, changed for solar and battery power, in the places where sun is the most, use Solar power, places like NY or UK etc.. which aren't so well known for the nicest weather of sunny days could use a combination of Hydroelectric power, Windpower, Damns, and Sun to help...etc...

5)Replace technology with crystal technology, a crystal microchip, cyrstals can be made and found naturally and clear quartz the easiest out of all of them to "channel" the energy from one place into another, contain information...as impossible as it might sound, it's true, crystals are the future..not only that Clear Quartz holds VAST amounts of Energy and can be re-charged like a battery in the sun, so why not use Crystals for battery, they can be shaped for all their purposses and even when broken can be used for smaller objects. Did you know that watches, Clocks etc..are run by ruby quartz?

6)Well...for one, Tony Blair has only just noticed the Weather is CrAzY he must be blind...really, he must be... we need to get rid of these polititions and presidents off their "throne" and throw them down in the gutters...think about it, they aren't running Politics properly, Politics are too important to be run by Polititians..and thats a fact.

7)For all we know, we may not actually be causing any weather distaster...probably some Aliens that want to destroy the earth...why is it some places are targeted and others not? it causes imbalances in those places and then in the natural flow the imbalance becomes even more imbalanced..and there you go Global Warming, and who is to blame?! Us! of course..a good way to turn us against each other "Oi! you sprayed the deodrant, your to blame!"...

8)As kessel said, Global Warming is not controlable but what kessel failed to mention is that even though it's uncontrolable we can control the events that cause it.

9)After all is achieved...get on with lives and make sure history is to be remembered of "How to prevent global warmings and how to control events thats cause it." in about a million places, written loadsssss of times, written on cave walls, put on scrolls in metal boxes and put into ice and other various places...etc...

"nuclear winter" just means that when thousands of nukes detonate all over the planet that enough dust and smoke is put into the atmosphere so as to blot out sunlight. No need to set off bombs, just spray gunk into the air. Don't know if thats the best way to do it tho.

Batteries need to be charged, which will require power plants, and hydroelectirc/solar/wind/fuel cell plants are too inefficient/expensive for anyone to seriously adopt. However, Fuel Cell cars don't need to be recharged by electricity, as far as I know.

Did you know that watches, Clocks etc..are run by ruby quartz?

Watches use a phenomenon known as 'pizoelectrcity' in which a small thin crystal is compressed and released and thus gives off a tiny electrical charge. I don't think its feasible to have car, houses, factories, running off ten story rocks set in ten story vices. Heck I don't think it even works at that scale anyway.

I agree kessel global warming is nothing more than a statistical anomaly. Humans are NOT powerful enough to destroy the earth or influence its rate of warming. Hell animal farts account for more methane than all human tech and a single volcanic eruption puts more co2 in the air than all the worlds cars combined.

If we stop fouling the air with burned hydrocarbons, the Earth would probably clean itself up within fifty years.

But to get off the hydrocarbon addiction without killing 90 percent of the people, you're going to have to switch to large-scale nuclear fission for electricity generation, which has its own problems. Of course, those problems aren't nearly as bad as those with hydrocarbons, and can be implemented a lot more cost-effectively.

Solar, wind turbine, and hydroelectric, as we've discussed over and over again, simply won't cut it, given the energy demand there is now.

The difference, Nygdan, is that, with proper engineering and safety design, we can keep those thousands of tons etc. from killing us. and, no, the waste can't be made into "the most destructive weapon known to man".

But when we burn hydrocarbons we can't avoid global warning, no matter how carefully we engineer our power plants.

And we also can't keep from being addicted to something that the bad guys have and will bankrupt us for.

And we can't keep from using up all the hydrocarbons, and then, when we run out with no backup in place, billions will die.

Of course it's inevitable when burning fossil fuels.
Those have been out of circulation/"equation" hundred millions years.

Burning wood is different, carbon in trees is already in circulation/equation and it would be realeased in every case in decaying of tree.
So as long growth of other trees consumes as much carbon as burning/decaying of trees releases carbon balance stays.
So instead of burning fossil fuels from outside equation power plants should use carbon already in equation.
