It would have to be. As long as its easy to close I've no complaints. Data center hosting is expensive and there are a lot of people who read the forums.

I've had those pop up so many times over the past few months I've installed new software trying to figure out if my computer (a mac) is infected or if it is coming from something on ATS. I have yet to figure out the source. It is very random.

Ad Blockers are a violation of the Terms and Conditions of this FREE site.

As for the pop up ad, I randomly get one of those, very seldom, but if it closes easily it is probably fine.

If you have a concern with it, post it in Skeptic Overlord's Ad Hitlist and they will check it out. There have been a few ads that came through and had to be removed, so its worth alerting, just in case.

Go to control panel...> Java...> Temporarry Internet Files

then settings... delete files... check both boxes apps and TRACE then delete

You can check the box 'don't save any' if you want

Keyloggers and java scripts hide here and don't clean with the regular cleaners. They hitch hike on your login so it appears its from ATS (or which ever site you are on)

You will likely also gain some speed

When it works you can send a check for $1.52 for the service

I have a Mac and have never seen a single ad or any of these pop up ads. I don't know why I don't see ads. I have never seen ads and I have nothing installed on my computer.

The answer is simple... Even a bottom feeding ad company has enough self respect, to stay away from a mac.

I was under the impression that as long as you are signed in you don't get adds. I don't get them when I'm signed in.

Anyhow, I did a quick google search and here is an article about the add, and how to block it:

I was actually thinking about making a thread about this,

but ATS has more money making potential than the site owners realize.


Obviously members shouldn't be constantly bombarded with Ads( some obviously are okay and vital)


HOWEVER heres what I wanna say, the internet traffic coming to ATS from Google is just massive. Bombard THEM! all those hungry stoners searching for conspiracy theories would benefit from Dominos ads, etc etc and such. really 13-25 should the age range for traffic coming off google. thats just $$$$$ out the door if they dont take advantage

Just saying this site should be turning a profit, hence increasing the over all quality of the site!
