Country Music is not only about new or old songs.I think is about feelings or the history of a country.

Country Music is about love and good times, wars and peace, about the soul searching or about lost souls and souls found.

Let's try to begin with the beginning.

Johnny Cash : Ring Of Fire

and Dolly Parton & Shania Twain & Alison Krauss

Emmylou Harris & Dwight Yoakam :GoldenRing

love this songs

Grant&Forsyth: Somewhere Between

Metal head here. Not going to poop on your thread just want to point a few things out. Johnny Cash isn't just country. I've got 5 decades in and I have yet to find 1 person that doesn't like Johnny. He transcends genres. His music is just real. One of his last recordings:

A Nine Inch Nails tune. Personally I don't care for NIN BUT he took this song I didn't like to one that I did. I don't think it's weird to listen to Sabbath and then Johnny.

I was a radio announcer for a country station back in the late 70's. Kinda hard for a kid that was growing up with Sabbath, Zepp, Queen, to listen AND play this but I got a good lesson on some tunes I wouldn't have had other ways:

My ex was a Loretta Lynn fan. There's some good tunes there. Well, not LL. Might be why she's my ex. She never could get used to Motorhead either.
