Does anyone have any more detailled information on the ufo that crashed in the Berwyn Mountains in wales,Great britian in 1974?
Apparentley it was at first thought to be a crashed air liner by locals, its a quite remote place by British standards and at the time it was recorded that the impact measured 4.5 on the richter scale
anyone?

ok,sounds like a "no" at the moment, you can read about it at
www.ufocasebook.com/wales.html

Id like to hear from anyone whose visited the crash site and can maybe report on anything theyve seen,it was supposed to be a huge craft so there should be some evidence of "scarring" on the mountain side

I spoke to my ex sergeant major one night after he had a few to many beers in the naafi and we got on to the subject of ufos. He was very distant at first on the subject then he dropped a bombshell. He told us he had only been in the army bout 2 years when this happened and he was based in a camp south of wales. He was chilling out one night on his bunk with other lads playing cards and stuff. His platoon sergeant came into the room and ordered everyone to grab their kit and be on the truck outside in 10 minutes. He said he was unsure of the exact location they were headed however there was 4 or 5 truck loads of them and they were being ecscorted by police through the welsh countryside. When they arrived at their destination they were ordered off the truck and told to file up. He said they were given a 5 minute lecture reminding them that they were under the official secrets act and whatever they saw that day was to remain as a official secret. 2 truck loads of the men were assigned to blocking off all local roads and 100% not letting anyone near the site and may have to use force if needed. They were also told to have their gas masks ready and told to listen out for the gas warning (3 whistle blasts repeated every 5 seconds). He was placed on sentry about 300 feet from the site. He said many cars of official looking people had pulled up all wearing suits and some carrying side arms. Some of these people approached the wreckage as if they had seen this kinda thing before and knew there was no danger. He didnt have a great view but what he remembers is a Military ambulance pull up at the wreckage and seemed to take 2 stretchers away in the ambulance escorted by the suits, and military vehicles. He says after a few hours the wreckage was loaded onto some kind of military truck and covered with tarpaulin this too was escorted by the suits and military. He said that all over the landscape was pieces of material that seemed to look like foil but very thick and shiny. The suits were scouring the landscape picking the pieces up whilst he remained on sentry along with about another 100 men dotted on the high ground all over the place. He also mentioned the suits were using some sort of machine to scan the ground possibly checking for radiation but he said the machinrs they were using were more advanced than those around today so he is not sure what they actually were. About 9 hours later half the men including him where ordered back onto the trucks to head back to camp as a new shift of soldiers had arrived to relieve them. After i was told about this a few of the lads in my camp would often mention the sgt major in question and mention there was a rumour that years ago he had been involved in something big however i never told them what he told me one night after a few beers.

ok soz, just got it-ermmm???? intresting, the info you have says 2 stretchers were taken away in an ambulance-the info i have states that a nurse who arrived on the scene to see if she could help arrived before the military and she apparentley saw dozens of bodys that were not human-she apparentley was told that she should never discuss what she saw as it was a threat to national security and she dissapeared shortly after with no trace!
Did your S.major say weather or not he got close to the bodys or wreckage? or did he see it from a distance?
Have you personally been to or near the crash site?

I aint been near the site sorry although i have had ufo experience during my service whilst on exercise in jordan bout 5 year ago. My s.major didnt mention any more bodys or there being dozens of them he just remembers a military ambulance loading 2 stretchers onto the back then driving off. He did say there was a load of activity going on but he was suppoesed to be looking the other way and just got a sly look when he could

ok guys and girls, ive done some more searching into this and find some very conflicting results and reports(which ill post links to later)
It would appear that this incident has been "labelled"by the british press as the "welsh Roswell" quite a title eh? but it also appears that many of the witnesses apparent statements were not taken by credible sources at the time and were only intervied some 20 years later by actual ufo investigators-i find this to be unbelievble, whatever happened on that winters evening was certainly an event of hugely dramatic proportion!
From what ive read so far from credible witnesses,my personal instinct tells me that some serious covering up as been done and the nurse who initally gave her statement to a local newspaper as "a disk the size of the Albert Hall"and again being quoted in the early 90,s as"i didnt see anything other than some lights that belonged to poachers" well er? ok then-not really much difference there then!!!

this is still quite vague so ill get something more concrete (or as near to wet cement as i can)
