Apparantly if you are unemployed, you are "feckless", "scum", "a scrounger" and all have wide-screen tv's, the latest clothes and holidays, all bought for by the tax payer..

Life is rosey and full of leisure if you are on the dole, and you sit there watching daytime tv, constantly laughing and taking the piss out of the tax payer..

I do not deny that there is a very small minority that do, however the truth is very different..

Most have to take a choice of whether to eat or heat their homes.. Most are not "workshy" and try all they can to get work, however here in the UK there are 500000 new jobs to go around 3 million unemployed! 8 out of 10 of those new jobs are filled by cheap foreign labour, imported by the REAL scum; greedy employers who do not want to pay going rates.

The government wants to cut benefits still.. So villify a very large group of people, who by the self same governments policies, have lost their jobs by no fault of their own.. These "scroungers" have to learn to buy all of these holidays they seem to have lots of and flat screen tvs on £67 a week! I would suggest that those villifying and blatantly lying about claiments should try to just EAT on that, let alone anything else..

And still they want to cut those benefits..

I see a dour and violent future for this country if this persists

Its to divert attention away from the people really destroying our country,.....the large corporations that fail to pay their taxes, year in, year out.
Far easier to blame someone who is at rock bottom already with no way of fighting their corner

I think if this carries on then attacks on foreigners who are seen as taking our jobs will increase, however its the employers that are to blame alongside the governments who alkow their coprorate chums to get away with it.

The cuts are not aimed at single people who are unemployed. The vast majority of unemployment benefit goes to single moms families with 6 kids etc. Some of these families are getting 500 pounds a week for doing nothing more than some working families. This is where the cuts are going to be felt to make the system fairer.

Very well said, I think you are right in you analysis. At the end of the day it is all about the bottom line, we all know that that can only be cut so far. Globalisation could have and should have been a beautiful thing but as usual it is about the west going down to the level of everyone else rather than everyonecoming up to a level where we can all flourish.

The 1 factor involved that manipulates everything is money and the manipulation of it. We are supposedly an intelligent race and yet we run around working for this stuff that really has no value apart from the value that we give it. We could have everything we have now without money being the motivator, it really is time for a change in the system.

I think all of the civil unrest everywhere is being planned to happen because they want us all devided as usual, bickering amongst ourselves with silly things like you are scum because you do not work, and a drain on the system. Without anyone realising the system is actually what is at fault here, they are just manipulating it so the system can be furthered. If you distract people and make them believe that all of this bs is real, then when it gets really bad you can offer them an alternative and it will be accepted far more easily.

Oh how i wish Guy Fawkes had completed his mission all those years ago.

I think it is time we moved all of our politicians and elites to alittle island where they can have there own money system and they can continue playing the game they enjoy so much amongst themselves and leave the rest of us the hell alone. I dont think thhe system will last long though if they were to do that!.

The problem is there are not that many jobs out there, especially in certain parts of the country. There is no Industry and manufacturing on the scale it once was. Even in my town, which is relatively affluent compared to some, the local paper's job section has reduced from a few pages to just half a page.

The biggest barrier to getting work, is the lack of jobs, not the Jobseeker. Yet the blame is being put on the jobseeker for being too lazy or not having the right skills.

Also if you were in a company now being offered workers to come and work for you so they can continue to receive their benefits, why would bother employing any full time staff?

Finally, in this current climate, no ones job is safe and you never know when it might be you who is going to the job centre and being labelled a scrounger.

Yes, the system has failed indeed, however they will do all they can to keep it going so that they can continue having lordship over the masses and wipe their asses on gold leaf paper..

This system needs to die.. But what do we replace it with??

Hope people are waking up to this lie. I read a book called "chavs" by owen jones, its brilliant. Talks about how the working class have been and still are vilified by politics and the media, talks about how thatchers government smashed working class communities, how "new labour" abandoned the unions and became right wing. Its an excellent book and i recommend it to anyone who wants to be educated in the happenings in this country over the past 40 years.

There is also something to be said about the demise of the British pub. Once a place for working class people to come together to discuss social issues and politics. These places have been sanitized and are over priced and not as attractive for people nowadays, hence why so many are closing down.

There is a constant vilification of the working class and it serves it's purpose when working class people accept it and choose to fight amongst themselves rather than channel that anger in the direction of TPTB.

It makes sense to have us all at each others necks, looking down on one another. Look how divided working people are in this country, Black v White, Immigrant v Indigenous, public v private sector, Old v young, North v South.

The people in charge must be loving it. Knowing they can get on and do what they want, while the rest of us squabble amongst ourselves.

Indeed, that is the question!. It is going to be very difficult because those that in power represent only the ruling faction, this has gone on for 100's if not 1000's of year and we need to change it.

Money to my mind only has 1 single function in the scheme of things, it allows 1 person to either feel superior or buy more crap than another. I have to ask if we were born to serve the agenda of the elites or if we have another purpose, because i think we are under selling ourselves here big time.

We have human beings all over the planet dying and starving daily and what do we do? we have the resources to feed all, but not the will. Take Africa, loads of resources and yet so many dying daily. Look at the advances in aquaponics for example, everyone could be fed in that climate with that alone. Instead we have aid agencies run by governmentssome of which are run as businesses and give 15% back to the charity, yet another great farce by those in power.Half of them launder money, and none of us know what goes on in these supposed charities.

I do not know what the answer is, but i do believe that it is time for things to be run by and in the name of the people rather than the elites, i am sure we are intelligent enough to come up with a system better than the current one where the few farmers reap everything. I would like to see children growing up happy and everyone living lives that they felt were being fulfilled rather than this.

I think you are right.

Then there is the illusion of democracy and part politics.. They all carry on the mandate of the previous governments..

We are being out priced in travel too.. It is almost as if tptb do not want us proles moving around too much hey?

Couldn't agree more with you. Pubs are shutting down left right and centre and the ones that are still open are hardly making money, thanks partly to the smoking ban. The fact that more people are now drinking at home is a proven cocktail of decay - Kids in poor families are often raised about cheap alcohol like its the norm, opening the door for them when they reach the curious/rebelious age of their teens. A generation has been raised that drinks to get drunk - not to socialise and the difference is a scar on the working class.

I notice that the media offer's little in terms of help for people on benefits. There headlines and snidey stories often revolve around what a huge peice of scum you are and how you should just walk into your nearest job centre and you'll be at work in no time. Not ONCE Have they offered advice on helping yourself out. Never have they reported on how hard it is to afford just the basics (Heating, Food etc) on less then £70 a week.

The working class are being treated like proles and ITS.NOT.ON.

Could you imagine if from this day forth we gave every single child in the world a free education? We would have so many Boffins that our technological advancement would be greater then ever. Think of the things we could achieve by 2112!
