I'm going to try to go up there in protest. Not in my city

Protest what? What are you going to protest to these people who are from other countries? Huh?

There is alot to prorest. Take your pick.

How about protesting the fact that they are making it so hard to protest for a start.

But you are asking why to protest the G8? Are you serious? Are you so egocentric?

Well as a precaution if you do protest. It would be a good idea to split away from the occupy movement and have a legitimate protest. Go and get a city permit and then no one can mess with you. You can even get police to enforce the permit zone. The G8 has to play by the same rules...the only reason that there is a heavy police force is because the area is city permit and the cops are hired to enforce the permit zone.

Just an idea....otherwise go protest with occupy and watch it get ugly fast.

Great so...you realize that the G8 is a setup and that the world will be watching Occupy enter stage left. And an event could happen that would not only spark condemnation to the occupy movement in America, but world wide as Occupy so proudly boasts that they are international...so face international condemnation....not from the world leaders who set this up...but the citizens of the world.... Remember this Occupy represents less then 1% of the population, so wether there is a few bad apples or not whatever happens will reflect on the whole group and if and only if...this set up is successful, when you will leave, if you do there could very well be guns drawn towards you.
This is not Egypt and the people of Egypt were largely unarmed....the people of America are not.

Not to mention that NDAA will be in affect and Occupy will give TPTB every excuse to use it.

Lead by example... If you are in the Chicago area band together with like minds and start a different movement and do it right.... get the fricken city permit and hire the damn police.

I know it sounds cliche, but in the end it will be worth it and you will come out ahead.

They have a permit.
But the Secret Service and Homeland Security can abrogate it at the last minute.

CANG8 won a major victory on Jan. 12 when the city of Chicago, after a five-month period of uncertainty, granted permits for the May 19 march and rally. The permits were granted only after a series of protests that involved not only the antiwar and Occupy movements, but labor, religious, and community organizations as well. The victory was tempered by the contents of a cover letter attached to the permits, however, that said that these permits could be abrogated by the Secret Service and Homeland Security as the demonstration date nears. In addition, the Chicago city administration, in collaboration with the federal government, is clearly planning to use the NATO/G8 summit to set new national norms for restricting the right to protest through onerous ordinances, massive surveillance, and an extraordinary police and military presence.

I dont think you should need a permit to protest but if you get one whats the sense when they can take it back at the last minute?

Hmmm. Interesting.. Maybe if their was a perceived threat..or just decided to call it off. But if they have filed for a permit in my mind that is legitimate enough. Unless there is a real threat then people will defy authority at their own risk.

I am all for peaceful assembly, but keep it legal. If you apply for a permit and are denied without reason that is cause for concern.

They should have these meetings off shore on a large ship/yacht or something similar. The cost of these meetings is overblown because they put them in cities, and basically tell people they cannot use that section of the city.

If they were held off shore on a large yacht, or some ship that fit everyone, they probably wouldn't have even half the security costs, and they wouldn't be displacing people and businesses in the area.

The amount of money spent in Toronto a couple of years ago, on the summit, could have built a new small town.

Instead, they make a big deal about it, by putting them in the middle of large cities, and end up inviting trouble.

Tiawanda Moore didn't think she was doing anything wrong when she took out her smartphone and started recording a conversation with two Chicago police officers she says were trying to stop her from filing a sexual harassment complaint against one of their colleagues two years ago. Moore was promptly arrested and charged with violating a strict Illinois eavesdropping law that bars audio recordings unless all involved parties agree to it. Moore, then 20, spent more than two weeks in jail and faced up to 15 years in prison.

And why hold the thing in Chicago when it has crazy laws like this? Why shouldnt you be able to film them?

I have often wondered where would be the best event for a false flag? My favorite city, Chicago, that is where. 7000 Global leaders all eliminated or radiated on US soil, America would be mad at Sinister "X" culprit and the World would blame America because it happened on our soil. We would be "responsible." TSA, FEMA, the FBI,and whoever else for the whole ending scene for the clenching of Global Dominion by the NWO will all be in place and on cue. Think of this,...Rahm Immanuel is often refered to as the Godfather because of his demeanor, tactics, and size. The ending scene of Godfather has Michael Corleone seizing power during a baptism. In this scene all heads are shot consolidating his power over all families. Perhaps that is why they call him Godfather. Also, if 7000 heads of state are killed Martial law will be declared globally. The center of the world for commodity trading could be radiated by a small sub that could nuke the entire region from one of Chicago's many canals. Even release small commando teams from Israel to dirty bomb various areas plunging the world into despair as we wont know who owns what future contracts or where they are going. Food will rot. That little Israeli could sieze power just like the Godfather as we are all baptized in fire. US citizens could be sent to FEMA calls while the world invades the US and Canada to avenge their leaders. All the while the global elite brings down the US they usher in the New World Order and Iran turns to glass who will be able to make war with beast?

Well it's certainly not the 1st G-8, nor will it be the 1st G-8 that has been protested. I believe one a few years back caused a major uproar on the use of LRAD against peaceful protesters. Every G-8 protest also has had it's share of undercover cops and Black-block causing trouble. The protests were labeled leftist, socialist and torn apart by right wing media/politicians. Sounds all too familiar. I see a pattern of "all protests/ers must be maligned". It won't matter if it's Occupy or not, though I'm sure Occupy will make it's presence known which IMHO is great. More and more people whether they believe in protesting or not, are seeing the reality we are all facing...and they don't like it.

they can't be important if they were not paraded around in public in a show of power.
it's all ego and i think they want to start something here to go full martial law asap.
the new axe deodorant commercial at the very end show helicopters invading a large city maybe it's
just odd advertizing or their way of talking together.
