for example, it says in one of the blurbs, that it was nearly identical to the original, with the exception of some nae changes. sounds about right.

Because unless I have missed something huge; they haven't, in the real world, found a 'stargate' in Egypt.......writing a sci-fi/fantasy story about something doesn't mean it is true.

This is pretty fascinating, 12,000 years old and 7,000 years older than Mesopotamia known to be the 'Cradle of Life'. Before stone hedge, and the Great pyramid. According to biblical tradition the world began in 4000 BC but that was 8000 years later than the foundation of Göbekli Tepe. Something with advanced tools and a way to move rocks that weigh many tons made all this.

That was quite interesting, but can anyone tell me how they made the jump into the 'great flood'? It just seemed to come out of nowhere haha

It did come out of nowhere! They seemed to be going off on a biblical tangent at the end. This film (which I watched again) is a good example of fringe believers taking a known site and trying to make it as mysterious as they can......, Gobekli Tepe is interesting in its own right


Some of the stuff the video points to is amusing; like they repeatedly said the stone is 'perfectly carved', well no they are not and you can tell that from these non-detailed images, 'no tools found' , well yeah, etc

And like I said the 12k are just an estimation and a very vague one, too. And no we're not talking about Turkey because this is irrelevant since Turkey is only roughly 800 years old. So this is of course nothing Turkish. And I gave a very plausible explanation.

Ok, first you said hellenic... then you say helladic. Ok... I sincerely hope you know the difference.

Still... the early helladic dates back to 3000bc so... your point is? 3000 bc is NOT 10000 bc... 10000bc is not bronze age like the helladic, is neolithic - lithic as in STONE... 10k bc is still a stone age (a new stone age ok, but still a stone age) not a metal age. We're talking about a 7 or 8 thousand years difference.

I dont mean to be rude or offensive but...

Do you even know what you're talking about? I mean... I'm a history major, and I never ever seen anyone mixing hellenic or hellenistic with helladic... Come on... you want ppl to take you seriously, please learn your history because I'm not here wasting my time with someone who cant understand history and cant tell a stone age from a bronze age and the years between them. - this is like... 8th grade history.

It seems their ritual of burial was to behead and feed the body to the vultures. And they liked big curvy ladies.

From what I am reading on Göbekli Tepe, Çatalhöyük, Jericho, Nevalı Çori, is that they were all abandoned sometime before the Bronze age, which itself had a mysterious ending as well. So what the heck happened?

I have not read the entire thread so my apologies if this has already been suggested.

Has anyone considered these as supports for a stair-case/walk-way?
