Show me your avatars.

So, I made a new avatar..probably won't stick with it though. sort of in a want to change, but not fully sure which direction yet.
Anyhow, poked through my previous avatars I used here on ATS and thought some of em were cool...also the meaning I put in each one.

I became curious about other people and their current and previous avatars, and what (if any) meaning they have. Some are obvious (pic of themselves), some are odd that seem to have no clearcut understanding...
meh, this is a good place to show off all your former and current avi's anyhow and yack a bit about your inspiration if you want.

Current (as of today):

Was perhaps the most uncreative I have done in awhile. greek tile, eye of horus, owl, and writing in greek stating "wisdom".
Mostly as a toungue in cheek response to one of those illuminati/all seeing eye threads.

liked the colors...Saturn of course (name), did the infinity thing and the happy/sad drama masks. World is a stage type thing. Still like this one actually..mostly for the colors.

Battlestar Galactica rules...and of course being a futurist/transhumanist, the whole robot thing with the human soul speaks to me. Also wanted to shove in a veiled political message (embrace progress) and guise it as a either hopeful or dooming message based on your view of advancing the species

I was having a good debate week when I made this. Dr. Manhattan rocks, and his quote felt right for the time (meh, debate with children and you also will feel quite brilliant...until another adult walks in eventually. heh)

Around this time, the avi spot shrunk down (bah). so, started making tiny avi's. This was the first holdover (just a cyberman, digital person, etc...call out to the transhumanism agenda

Made this as a lulz emblem when was called part of the "ats debate team" that comes in and professionally derails and dismisses threads.
ATS forgot to pay me though, so I took it down. bah!

Got excited at the upcoming release of Dead Island (and zombies in general rock).
(disappointing game btw...get it when its on sale..worth the play, but don't go into it hyped up too much..hype usually leads to disappointment..unless its an elder scrolls title).

Nice avatars lads, i'll be stealing them Greek letters "Wisdom" which SaturnFX mentioned and using them for a future tat

This makes me want to go make another avatar

The one I have now is from a game.
The only other one I ever made was on the old ats system, so I can't seem to find it anymore. lol

Colorful avis

ATS Avatars should be no larger than 170 pixels wide by 240 pixels tall, with a maximum file size of 75kb.

You can access your old pictures by the tools pulldown menu...far lefthand side (says old pictures)
log in and..well. then go back into the old pictures for immediate access. (for some reason, once you log in, its damn hard to find your pics...but if you auto-log in, it brings you right to your folders)

Yes, I can never ever stop from vomiting color all over a composition. I try to do dark work sometimes, but color always gets sneaky and eventually takes over.

I love the sheer breadth of styles of ATS. Many of the finest are the customised images.

I use mine because the plane is a single seat Knight Twister, built from the same plans that I used to build my latest. The plans have been around since the early thirties but the Knight Twister is still a great plane, like flying a go-kart. I intend to replace the current avatar with a pic of me flying mine as soon as either my friend flies up from Nevada or I start flying with someone that I trust to fly close and take photos when we are doing other than straight and level. Maybe I should just take off for Nevada, retirement does have its bennies.

That plane is so much fun to fly due to being small; top/bottom wingspans of 15.5'/13.5', original length of 16'1" and a height of 6'8", stalls at about 65mph. I am currently flying with 5.2 lb/hp. It is an open cockpit so excellent goggles are a necessity, the old leather flying helmet is just for fun.

The nice thing about building your own is that it doesn't cost a lot to do so.

I usually stick with this one; a pic called Edenpain.
