I would just like to chime in with the same kind of incident that I heard last night 02/09/2012 as I had just went to bed. It was approximately 1:45 am cmt. I heard the same sound like that of a low flying, slow moving, possibly large airliner, kind of sound with the pitch going up and down, not drastically. Never hearing this sound before, and having alot of air force activity in the area, I just blew it off as it must be a jet flying low due to inclement weather. I was stunned after looking over this thread, not the video, and reading what others said about this same incident and just had to sign up. Needless to say, I will be more apt to investigating this sound if heard again. Thanks for the insight.

Soupornuts et al. I know you don't need reminding but anyway in the interest of establishing a rule on the nature of the kind of animal we got here - remember we best not feed the trolls. It encourages them.

The baseball game one has been debunked. It's actually lighting that had interferred with the sound system, notice how the crowd cheers after the sound stops. There's actually another video of an audience member at the game explaining this as it's happening, as I said before, do your research before you go believing something.

Better bat up then and front up here with the evidence to back up your research
You know if you don't like the evidence the way to go about debunking it is either to attack the evidence or the speaker. You might want to consider how you might better win over your audience by attacking the evidence, ya know, with evidence of your own. That and /or a sound rational argument to explain why the evidence is invalid.
Where's your counter supporting evidence?

@Soupornuts To debunk something you do not need to be a physics professor, you just need sound logic and perception. You calling this guy dumb is quite biased and to say, ad hominem. Since you're speaking for the physicists here, can you tell me, what natural occuring sound produces trumpet noises? I'd like to see that. I've said it a million times, and I'll say it a million times more. These "Strange Noise" clips are all hoaxes.

What trumpeting sounds occur in nature ask. Well you obviously never heard of the Trumpeter bird.
en.wikipedia.org...(bird)
You never watch an African safari documentary with an elephant in it?
You have four posts at this time and each of them slings off on the posters, yet you totally fail to come up with any counterpoint goods to show you are in good faith.

How about getting a life.

I'm leaning towards a natural phenomenon on these rolling thunder noises.

Out in the desert sound does funy things, over water also. Sound waves could be hitting the perfect conditions for bounceback and echo. So an occasional thunderclap 500 miles away sounds like nonstop rolling thunder after ouncing around the atmosphere for a while.

That could explain why the carribean event lasted longer than the fireworks that were suspected of causing the noise.

We don't know everything there is to know about sound, we only think we do, we should keep an open mind.

No problem. At first I wasn't sure about posting this, but since this is going on all over the globe, it made me realize I'm not (that) crazy.

I'm 40 minutes into it, let me say this:

I was very skeptical, because I am a skeptic at heart, but her presentation and the material cited so far is spotless, flawless, and also quite interesting !!

One of the few long presentations from an accredited individual that is very well done, as far as I am into it in terms of content.

I love the fact she describes the very shapes I am describing, by using NASA's observations of trumpet-shaped energy distributions at 39:12 minutes into the video.

Thumbs up from me !!

I'm familiar with electrowetting, I'm sure bridging between ice crystals would really have some interesting effects !

en.wikipedia.org...

Glad you are finding some truth in it. I am anxious to hear what your thoughts are after you have watched the entire video.

I'm actually a spiritual seeker who happens to love Science and Physics. Anything unknown is right up my alley. The deeper a subject the more likely I am in it head first...body and all!
I was born this way and let me tell you, the researcher in me spends countless hours a day researching one fascinating subject after another. For me though I feel it necessary to study the cosmos with a spiritual/energy connection. Without it I may miss something.

What is going on with our Magnetic Field is of interest and how it relates to the the weird phenomenon that is being seen and heard around the globe. Honestly I can find a Scientific explanation for all of them and I really believe it has to do with the core of the Earth coupled with the Magnetic Field. NOW that I have come to this conclusion in my little brain I am left to ponder....

1.HOW in the # did the ancients KNOW about this time and space?
2. What else will we see or hear in the coming years as it weakens and or collapses? Will it collapse?
3.Will our poles be effected as far as a flip? Im actually leaning toward a big fat NO as the answer to this question but still studying. My 14 yr old explained last night to me in detail WHY he believes the poles will not shift either....his answer in short is "they don't have to".
4. With the New Space we are entering.... Do we even NEED a Magnetic Field and what could be the implications if indeed it did collapse?

Thoughts?

Fracking. That's what had changed in 2011 to create these noises.... more fracking than ever before. It causes quakes, and quakes make ominous noises.

A previously unreported study out of the Oklahoma Geological Survey has found that hydraulic fracturing may have triggered a swarm of small earthquakes earlier this year in Oklahoma. The quakes, which struck on Jan. 18 in a rural area near Elmore City, peaked at magnitude 2.8 and caused no deaths or property damage.

Source: www.eenews.net...

Here's a list of countries engaged in this activity, are the noises heard anywhere else not on this list?

Australia
Bulgaria
Canada
France
Ireland
South Africa
UK
US

Source: en.wikipedia.org...

US government info on quake sounds:

The most recent documented earthquake sounds were from a swarm of small earthquakes that unnerved the city of Spokane, WA in 2001. Many of the Spokane quakes were definitely accompanied by "booming sounds". The quakes in Spokane were shallow, sometimes only a mile or two deep. This probably contributed to all the noise they made. Higher-frequency vibrations make the booming sound, and when quakes are deeper, those vibrations are gone by the time they reach the surface. Sometimes the quakes boom even when no vibration is felt. See the Seattle Post-Intelligencer Reporter article "A mysterious swarm of noisy earthquake unnerves Spokane".

You raise some good points, although this was the first stop I made when trying to piece the puzzle together. An Earthquake sound is different than what people are describing as far as I understand it.

I live in TN where there is fracking everywhere and all around and I have yet to hear anything out of the ordinary. I do admit that I don't really pay much attention because where I live in TN is very busy and noisy anyway.

I do think though that if there was a low humming sound for a period of time I would most definitely hear it.

Still though I am sticking with my research and what I do know to be happening within the atmosphere of the Earth.

For me it has come together like a doughnut.

Ok, if that's the case, he, and you, or anybody else I have offended have my full apology.

I know things can be easily misconstrued online, but it appears that he starts the post with friendly words, then at the end of the post, after saying I have only 4 posts on this( Not true at all ), he tells me " to get a life. "

Am I misunderstanding things here ? He wasn't talking to me ?

I didn't see anybody else's name mentioned except " et al " .that's kind of vague

Has he bothered to click and read all my links ?

I'm getting the feeling the answer to that is no.

But like I said, I apologize if I am misunderstanding him.

For those who don't know about fracking, here's a solid ATS thread about it: www.abovetopsecret.com...

I think an audio comparison of the earthquake noises vs these odd noises needs to be seriously done. From what I understand the early 2011 videos of the odd sounds are the best resources to avoid the hoaxes that subsequently followed. Also, it should be noted that fracking causes quakes usually 3.5 and under, so the sound will be different than a larger "felt" quake.

Here's a map of where fracking is occurring in the US, can anyone say they've heard these noises *not* in around these regions?

Map source, with videos about how bad this practice is: tpzoo.wordpress.com...

The Chinese word for dragon is "long". One thing I noticed about the chinese names for animals is they are named after the sounds the make, fo example Tiger is hu, dog is gow, horse is mah. The names when pronounced sound a lot like the sounds these animals make. Could it be this sound that people are hearing is the Longgggg sound the "dragons" make.

I know a lot about fracking!!! I am totally against it and wish they would leave our home alone. It is a no brainer....and yes...they have not a brain and I am so ashamed that these people are above me and able to continue with this type of practice as it is hurting our home! I am against the LHC and the like as well. Just ignorant in my opinion.

AS for fracking being the cause....it may very well be. There are A LOT of reasons why the Earth would be moaning in such a way. I just think there is more to it. Like I said I live in TN and I travel quite a bit and still have yet to hear the sounds people describe.

My mind frame is thinking ....

If we are being bombarded within our atmosphere by massive forces of energy (with a weakened magnetic field) that we have never experienced before except maybe the beginning of "time" as we are indeed approaching the Oort Cloud then this too could be something of interest to the ones who are truly concerned or wanting to look at answers from another perspective. We are moving into a space that is not only highly energized but also one must take into account everything they see changing within our Solar System as well. Or so...I think.

One thing we know without a shadow of a doubt is everything changes...nothing is constant. Our Earth is simply evolving as it is alive as we are. As the space time changes so does the Earth and so does its energized inhabitants.

The people who are fracking do not care about life. They care about greed. In the end they will lose.

There was a report about a strange hum on the local news a few years ago. Not sure if they ever discovered the source of the noise.

just read this article on Discovery news :

From the article :

People around the world have reported hearing strange sounds from the skies over the past month. Sometimes they describe it as a hum or low rumble; other times it’s a whine, thump, or even a melody. Often the sounds have been recorded and posted online, fueling rumors and conspiracy theories. One blogger wrote, "either the world is ending, aliens are landing or everyone is getting hoaxed. Or, possibly, there’s an actual scientific explanation for the mass amount of YouTube videos capturing bizarre sounds that are being heard around the globe. Are we witnessing the beginning of a full-scale alien invasion?" So, what are people hearing (and recording)?

The Magnetic Field lines may be stroked with energy that is resonating a sound like an instrument possibly?
