also, on the other hand, sorry if i came off a bit harsh.

if this story is 100% real i can not express how bad i feel for those poor kids.

also, im not going to bring children into THIS world we live in, it would be the biggest punishment i could give them, and my biggest gift to them is that i won't let them suffer by being born in this "h*ll" in the first place.

how do we know? we were not there, and we don't know the whole truth and story.

all we know is that (if this is real) that it is very sad.

Seems to me the Father may be the guilty party initially....
Perhaps Josh was a well programmed familiar to the fathers domineering sexual predations?
It would not be surprising to find that Josh himself was a victim from the start of his life.....
The father of Josh could easily be the killer, but its also possible he was abetted by Josh himself.....
This could turn into the most bizarre case thats come along since that other woman went missing while the hubby was fishing.

Who is josh powell?

It has been confirmed that the three bodies in the house were Josh and the 2 boys. There is no doubt that he planned this. He knew the kids were coming, so he poured accelerant all over the house and WAITED for the kids to get there.. We KNOW it was Josh because when the social worker came to the door with the kids, he answered the door.....then he pulled the kids into the house and slammed the door in the social workers face. She smelled gas, and went to call for help, and at the same moment .....the house exploded. This comes from the social worker herself. This was premeditated murder.
As for those saying the grandfather could have done it....that's ridiculous, because that pervert is in jail right now for possessing child porn.....learning more about this creepy "grandpa"..I do believe that he was abusing those boys, and probably his own son when he was a child. Basically, Josh knew the s*** was about to hit the fan, because the boys started talking, so he took the coward's way out. There is something very weird with this family. I think he did kill his wife, because she found out about the sick things Josh and his Dad were into....and she probably wanted to take the kids and get a divorce....so he killed her....and when the boys began to talk...he killed them....what a sick MF

Josh Powell is a sick POS who killed his wife....and claimed he didn't do it because he took his kids camping at 12:00 at night in freezing temperatures (yeah right) Josh's FATHER went on TV saying all kinds of things about the missing wife like how he (the grandfather) wanted to have an "intimate" relationship and how she always flirted with him....he wanted to "share" his son's wife. They have never found her....He was trying to get custody of the children, but social services were going to do a psyhosexual test on him because of images of child porn and other "disturbing" things found on his computer. The Grandfather is now in jail for possessing child porn and vouyerism.....and so the coward decided to kill himself and the kids...IMO he knew he was about to be exposed for what he was, and he didn't want to face it.

I've believed exactly what you've said for quite a while.

I also believe that the father is involved in all of this somehow. Did his father have an alibi when Susan went missing? I haven't read that anywhere yet. Since Susan went missing in Utah, was the father in Washington during that period?

I thought the father looked like a perp the first time I saw him on tv. He gave me the creeps. When they threw him in jail for child porn it validated my intuition. They say he even had "inappropriate" photos of Susan that were obviously taken without her knowledge.

My heart is aching for the grandparents.

I'm with you. I had the same idea a few posts above yours. Way too much media attention through the years for this to be some random act of evilness. Its yet another FEAR tactic to get humans to believe we are absolute crap. When in the end, 100% of humans would NOT blow up their kids up. Even CNN adressed "Josh Powell" like some celebrity. I read the whole article, thinking he would be someone famous or director of sorts. But no....just regular Josh Powell. Then i realized this story has been going on for years, and after watching his CBS and other media interviews, its obvious this all a bunch of bull. And as you can see by this thread....everyone fell for it. "I would never hurt Susan" - Josh in 2009 hmmmm

I think you are giving Josh Powell too much credit... Even during the investigation all signs pointed to guilty.. I mean he took his kids on a midnight camping trip on a school night on the day that his wife just so happens to disappear without a trace...

And then he prevents an officer of the court (a social worker) from entering his home which he cannot do and in cases like this a home inspection can be invoked at anytime.. smells gas.. Closes the door.. and while the social worker was on the phone.. the house explodes.. blows the roof right off... Now even if this was a set up don't you think Josh Powell would have smelled the natural gas in his own home.. Especially at the levels required to cause a massive explosion.. I'm sorry man but he killed himself and murdered his two children...

And most likely killed his wife... I mean how can you not see this as an admission of guilt!?!

Oh P.S. the oldest boy... didn't want to go to his visitation... He was forced into it because it was court ordered..

You are living in lala land....I work with an abused Woman's group...we had one husband take a shotgun and blow his own leg off to keep his wife from leaving him. We had another husband attempt to kill his children. It happens more than you would imagine.

The devastation caused by these sociopaths is mind boggling. The judicial system needs to become more aware of the dangers of selfish, self-centered, nutcases like Josh Powell.

No, that guy in a 25 yr marriage blew his leg off, because his wife got tired of being the sole bread winner in their marriage, and he was a raging alcoholic with a nasty temper. When she got into therapy and with help from local DV groups, decided to leave him....he blew his leg off from the knee down, to make her stay and take care of him.

The man who, as you say only *attempted* to kill his children did not...because his wife shot him first, after a knock down drag out fight over the rifle he was going to use. Otherwise not only would the children be dead, so would she.

Nut job, control freaks, do irrational things to get their way...it's fact. You can't gloss it over as being in love.....sheesh...

Powell didn't kill his 2 young sons because he *loved* them.

Yeah, I do believe the missing wife's family will be suing the living crap out of the Washington State Social Services.

Too bad he just didn't take his own life, alongside with his scumbag father.
Left the kids to at least have some kind of life.

I was in LEO for a while, and witnessed first hand how kids will just shut down to outsiders, because they think their parents will not love them for telling secrets.

Your stories still dont relate to the severity of a supposed house explosion that killed 2 little kids. That situation is just sick. Thus, i questioned its authenticy, because i like to give humans the benifit of the doubt, over our national media.

Giving ALL humans the benefit of the doubt is delusional when you have to factor in what monsters like Powell do.

Fact is...he used an accelerant in his home, before the court ordered scheduled visitation. Premeditated.

Gas turned on to fill house...premeditated. Shoving social worker back after grabbing sons at front door, and refusing to open door after....premeditated.

Powell *planned* in advance, to KILL his 2 sons. No accident. Premeditated. The mind of a monster.

Why you got stars for this is a mystery. Grandfather Powell is in jail on suicide watch. He's in jail because child pornography was found on his computer and will go on trial in March.

I am a 911 dispatcher. I am on the phone with people who are victims of severely deranged people all the time. Sometimes I hear things (I once was on the line with a woman hiding in a closet from her maniac drunk husband, who found her while I was on the phone with her, and he killed her with a hammer....I heard her screams and her being killed) So I can assure you that there is evil in this world. I don't put anything beyond humans....I have heard some insane s***. This type of thing happens more than you know. This was only big news because the story had been on TV for some time, thanks to vultures like Nancy Grace.There was a case not long ago very much like this that I dealt with personally.... A man wanted to get back at his ex by taking the kids....he tied them up and started the house on fire....then called 911. He was calm as could be as he told me what he had done...luckily, the fire dept got there and the kids survived (but had burns and had to be hospitalized) The Dad shot himself as the police drove up. There are some crazy people out there, and you would be surprised at what some humans are capable of.
