Of course I'm talking about the self righteous organization called OneMillionMoms www.onemillionmoms.com...

I have been reading this thread about JC Pennies hiring of Ellen www.abovetopsecret.com... Interesting but I think there is a much bigger story here.

Who are these people who have so much pull that the likes of Coka Cola, ConAgra, General Mills, Geico, Papa Johns, Nextell, T-Moble and even NBC bows to their wishes? www.onemillionmoms.com...

These people are all about hurting companies by getting their advertising pulled or getting ads pulled from TV shows to hurt the show and network.

On one hand you may think it's a good thing, cleaning up the bad stuff the mom's don't want their kids to see -

On the other hand you moms should not blame the companies or networks but rather police your own darn kids TV watching habits. There is a reason cable TV is Pay TV. Most TV's come with digital child locks now so you can lock a channel out if you don't want your kid to see it.

Most of the programs these people protest are made for and are geared towards adults. How cannot they see they are also causing harm as much as they think they are helping? Why don't these big companies stand up to these self proclaimed do-gooders?

If they have that much power, why don't they make these companies pull some of these harmful chemicals from the over processed foods they serve their own children? Why don't they make Big Pharma stop pushing poisons that are killing people and have the gall to call this garbage Medicine. Why don't they stand up for political corruption in our White House?

Read through the website. If your not shocked at least a few times, open your eyes and read it again.
It seems to me these peoples agenda is misplaced and OneMillionMoms must die.

They should learn how to bring their kids up in a cleaner environment by making sure the kids are not exposed to adult issues, not by tearing down the things adults want and fairly have the right to choose.

Perhaps I should start a OneMillionDads website to teach our kids how to be fair and balanced in all things and not to be one sided and self righteous like their OneMillionMoms.

You know, come to think of it, they just might be the TPTB. Think about it. They moan about every useless thing, and try to strip you're rights away, for the sake of the children of course. Maybe there is a bigger picture somewhere in there. But all kidding aside. Good point and good post.

So is this just a feminist movement?
The whole "You cant tell other women how they live their lives, only I can" mentality?
You got to love contradiction.
As much as they must think they are revolutionary do gooders all they are doing is making people focus on trival issues and taking away from the important issue. For that reason and for the huge corporate funding I assume their leadership have orders to keep provoking conflict in the community over such crappy things.
Lets just hope they dont get a whole lot of attention because the last thing we need is for the public to focus on more crap and completley ignore the looming economic, war and dictatorship we find ourselves living under.

I cant understand why these feminazi take delight in forcing their values on others.

The list of 'Successful Campaigns' shows they have achieved quite a bit in their crusade against the rest of us morally and ethically inferior people.

Why do liberals take delight in taking things away from people?

I do not have the words to respond to this in an intelligent manner.
If only Bill Hicks were still alive.
Miss you Bill.
Going to have a smoke in your honor.

It is the cause of men why moral decline continues to sink.....all for a quick fast $$$......and you'll exploit women and children to get there.

I think that is a very harsh opinion. Just because they aren't protesting what you think they should be protesting about, Their causes are real and important to them. Some people may think the things you have / would like to protest are worthless causes. Do I agree with their whole Ellen thing? No, but I feel they have the right to protest against anything they wish

As for your comment about their children and t.v., I don't own a t.v. but I did in the past, and was vigilant about monitoring what my children watched. One more than on occasion did a show that I previously deemed appropriate, started showing things that I felt were very inappropriate for the age group the show was aimed at. Onetime several years back there was commercial for a horror flick during a show aimed a preschoolers. Well, maybe I should save my theory on why for another post but I think you get the jest.

More power to them.
I am sick of the disgusting perversions murders overtly sexual images and foul language on the tv these days.
Its not about censorship, you can buy and watch that stuff from librarys or over the net.
Why is it shown so early when kids are around.
Good on the one million mums, hope they slap some sense in to these advertisers.

And yes their opinion and dollar is as valid as yours. What makes your opinion more valid.

What you’re saying is the equivalent to buying a car and complaining that it runs on gas.
If you don’t like what’s on TV.... I don’t even need to finish this sentence.

If it’s not censorship what is it? Because it fits the definition of censorship 100%

Screw the one million mums, we should be focusing our concern, effort and opinions on important issues not this trivial junk.

The world is being destroyed and you people are worrying about some sex on TV?

Trying to make sex a hideous thing is only going to damage the fabric of society. What benefit can there be of denying who we are?

I would had been more harsh but you said it in a nut shell.

For pete's sake, they're even selling bras and little outfits so your daughters can look like prostitutes - for 3-4 year old girls!

Hollywood, the music and fashion industry has gone completely mad; it's stinch of paedofiles, porn, drugs and rock'n'roll....makes me sick!

I'll reply to this drivel.

No, I'm not a woman. Yes, I am a Father who raised my kids right. They didn't have access to The Playboy Channel, didn't read them, didn't have alcohol or illegal drugs in my house, they went To Church Twice a week. My kids were taught to respect others as they themselves wanted to be treated. They were taught to be fair in business never cutting corners but not overcharging beyond a fair price for product or services.

Now.. wanna tell me again how I'm exploiting women and children for a buck?

I can understand not having low V neck choir robes that are so short they rise up like a 20's flapper - some things should not be public but if you look at most of the stuff the onemillionmoms complain about these are things that are not meant for kids to begin with. They are picking and choosing things any self respecting mother would not expose their kids to in the first place. They are hurting companies who spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for things geared to adults - How is that fair?

You cannot justify that at all. If the parent does their job right the child wont be exposed to the bad stuff or they will be well adjusted enough to know how to handle it.

op why don't you just send a message to the onemillionmoms group, and include this stuff about taking bad chemicals out of food, don't even reccomend they change their t.v. settings because that will just make them mad.

try to convince them to fight against bad chemicals, and maybe they will be doing something good in the long run.

i do agree, they should police their kids t.v. habits if they don't want them to see certain things.

whats really bad is so many moms are just going to over shelter their kids into absolute ignorant submission...

at the same time that's GOOD, because the t.v. lies alot and is full of brainwashing.

so there's many sides to the coin.

While I don't agree with OMM, they have every right to do what they are doing. I wish more Americans would get actively involved in using ALL their power, not just their vote, to effect social change. Our power as consumers could have a huge impact if we use it well, for example to try to end slave labour conditions in factories making goods for the US market, or in fighting big banks.

We live in a free society and we can use whatever legal means we want to express ourselves. Back in the day I participated in boycotts of companies to end Apartheid in South Africa.

Maybe you should look into this alot deeper, as these companies all bow to one thing, MONEY and ZIONISM.

And as for hiring Ellen,, well god they asked to be protested, noone wants to see pictures of her or ads.

The reason Liberals enjoy taking personal liberties away? Its called the collective. Or the hive mentality. One has to consider the masses over the individual. Of course the leader who is usually self proclaimed decides for the masses. nothing but contradiction in terms. Everything belongs to the state(people) but only the ruling class gets to enjoy any of it. Go figure.

You got the 'feminazis' part right, but these people are not 'liberals', far from it. They're a right-wing group attacking companies because they don't like their spokespersons. Just another bigoted group that are so caught up in their own blind prejudices with too much time on their hands.

If it's one million moms, maybe we all should bow to their wishes. My mom was never wrong, how wrong could a million of them be? I'd rather follow one million moms than to follow blind obama.
