Anger at last month's decision by the European Union and 22 of its member states to sign the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) has led to widespread protests, hacked Web sites, and legislators backing away from the treaty.

Europe is headed for a brick wall at full speed, the chances of getting legislation passed that is seen as censorship is almost zero. They're just trying to keep the population at home in front of the idiot box as long as they can. All indications have the financial collapse starting in Europe with defaults on trillions of dollars in debt as soon as March of this year.

THE UNITED KINGDOM along with 21 other European Union (EU) member states has signed the controversial Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) in Japan.
ACTA had already been signed by eight countries including the US on 1 October 2011, however the EU states waited until today to head over to Japan to put their signatures on the dotted line. The controversial agreement has been widely opposed by groups such as the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Free Software Foundation, with claims that ACTA will trample on civil rights.
