Some day all these telescopes will be watching when one of those things strikes the moon and what a show that will be. In the mean time, thanks for bringing it!

Thanks all for the great comments
its strange that there are no new impacts on the moon, perhaps we are for a while in the safe zone?
indeed some of the craters look very weird and unnatural

Nice clip. Did you shoot the video yourself?

Can you try focusing on the Apollo landing sites and possibly on the leftover equipment(s)?

Making me jealous. Makes me want to upgrade my Celestron 114 astromaster.
If you get a chance, post some of Jupiter. I think Saturn is also up early am. Would be nice to see your videos of those two.
Greta video clips. S&F

Yes i did shoot the video

"Can you try focusing on the Apollo landing sites and possibly on the leftover equipment(s)?" You don't see them, this video looks so close but it is in fact so far away.

Th@nks mugger

I did make recently a telescope tour with all the planets

@Hessdalen
No its from starcraft

can you be a bit more specific please? and the question how much your equipment ~cost is still pending =)

and you should get in touch with the guy who made the video i posted, he found locations on the moon...and your skillz (and equipment) seems to be a bit better so in coop O_O and then lunacognita for digital enhencement...and TheLight for the intro etc OMG

You must be lucky to get some good shots, because of the moon phase and the angle of the moon.
and also Free time, weather conditions etc...

Ik know to find this objects, but are this really spaceships and towers? its hard to tell.
It looks so close in the telescope but in fact its so far away, and don't forget the shadows let you see things what you want to see..

A telescope like this with all equipment it will cost new $3500 but for a good deal, look on second hand websites

Nicely done.

I love watching videos of the moon. Odd that I've never seen any of the "walls", or buildings, muchless spaceships that others claim to have seen...

I feel left out.

Very nice video

Everyone is like where are the spaceships

I have recently a telescope, a vivitar... 100 bucks...
First i did not see anything, the seeker was not alligned right

The moon is absolutly a fantastic thing to watch, but don't expect spaceships and structures

Get a telescope and....ENJOY

but i must say it does look like the brushed out "space ship" from the nasa pics...but it could be also just rorschach-pixels

and the second one...

a) extrem tall thing with a "normal" shadow b) liek nasa said: just an optical illusion (based on light and shadows) or 3) a hugh wall

a or c are both very interesting...& b is ...never a straight answere

anyway - ty Op for opening a new field to me ( i absolutly did not know that "hobby"-telescopes are that hq these days)

So you're saying that these details can be seen with a 279 mm refelector telescope? Nice, and nice for using StarCraft II's Zerg music 08
