hi ATS.

must admit i haven´t searched because i´ve really got to go.
i´m already late but i couldn´t go before i showed my fellow ATSers this footage.

if already posted, please delete.
if not, please enjoy

Michael Fishbach, co-founder of The Great Whale Conservancy (GWC), narrates his encounter with a young humpback whale entangled in local fishing nets.

At first, the animal appeared to be dead, yet Fishbach investigated and quickly discovered that the poor creature was tangled in a fishing net. The humans had to act fast; what began as a tragedy soon became a thrilling rescue as Fishbach and his crew labored to free the young whale.

The entire encounter was caught on videotape and later narrated by Fishbach himself. This young whale knows how to show appreciation by treating them to a magnificent aerial spectacle after it was finally freed. Awesome footage! Enjoy ;-)

awesome video

That was really cool, pretty brave to jump in the water with something 50 times bigger than yourself.

Truly Fantastic. Well done to those who freed the whale showing what we really are capable of doing, if we really want to.

Now how about the rest of us follow by their example.

Good Find OP!

well i didn´t find it first.
on the liveleaks website it was in the recently posted category, but it´s a pretty old vid already.

but np anyways.

ETA:
this is the original thread.

original thread

i don't know if the mods mind if this is being posted again as i don't want to take away anything from the original OP.

allthough ATS could use a 'feel-good' vid from time to time

LMAO at all the wannabe mods on this site! OMG! someone else posted this better make a meaningless post to spank the poster. Thank You OP! This was worth seeing and I did not catch the other post. On a site this large it is often helpful to have some things appear more than once as the flow is so large things get washed under quite quickly. So from me thank you.

even though it's been posted once, its good to see something so heartwarming again! Its nice to see we haven't all lost our compassion for others, be they finned, feathered, fanged, or otherwise different from ourselves.

I also missed this the first time around, thanks for posting.
I don't mind admitting my eyes welled a little at the end. I like to think the whale knew that they had helped it and was thanking them/showing gratitude in its own way. The intelligence of whales (and dolphins) is underestimated and under researched IMO, maybe it's because they're too similar to fish than other mammals and fish aren't really known for their high IQ's!
Thanks again for posting,

-Peace

all animals are smarter and more conscious than our culture thinks they are...especially the whales and dolphins have a high intelligence, this vid is more proof of that. he was showing off around them, keeping close to their boat, because he knew the humans enjoyed seeing his joy.

all the more reason to go vegetarian/vegan IMO

You are bringing negativity into this...why?It is not an Alien/Ufo Hoax thread that gets recycled again and again..this is different...did you notice?
