You know you have been playing video games for too long when:
After 13 hours on MW1 on xbox live you get up off the sofa to go the bathroom and wake up on the hallway floor with your body twitching in a mini-fit (true story i'm proud to say)

LoL was just going to lurk on this thread but you said exactly what I was thinking. I always hear this "M-com destroyed... Fall back! Fall back!". In a cheese russian accent. The audio in battlefeild is great, you can almost develop shell shock playing it on surround sound.

...attempt to harvest your neighbour's flowers for potion ingredients.

...compulsively look underneath the stairs whenever you can.

...examine the sides of buildings for possible climbing paths.

...say "quest updated" whenever completing a small part of a large task.

...say "fast travel system" instead of bus.

You know you play to many games when the world starts to look pre-rendered. When you have video game music as your ring tone... Final fantasy level up theme here.
When the clerk at the local game stop knows your full name and screen name. When you have a zelda tattoo...

When instead of laughing about something you say "lol"

I actually said that to group of girls(kind of new friends, recently met), they pointed at something and i said in slow tone.. "/sigh L....O..L", they didn't think it was weird, i guess blackberry/others phones kinda made those things a bit common.

*FF fans might know this, especially FFXI*

I had to stop playing FFXI because of crap like that. Seriously reality started to merge with the game. Would be out fishing and was worried my inventory was getting full. Started calling my fishing rod Lu Shang. All fish were moat carp. I could tell when my fishing skill went up .01. Thats just fishing. When my dish washing skill went up .01 I realized it was time to return to reality. Almost tempted to ask what server you played on luciddream.

"lol" is best used in a sarcastic manner IRL.

When around friends/other gamers, I sometimes say "BRB", "IRL", "roffle", "le mayo", "wtf" (pronounced wut'ff), "omg" (pronounced ahm'g), "srsly?" (pronounced sursly) and "GTFO".

I don't use these terms around "srs ppl" for lack of wanting to be percieved as an idiot.
