So, That Was Strange...

I'm currently in southern Illinois, and while watching Cheers, suddenly the screen goes blank and I hear nothing but a soft white noise. This continued for about 30 seconds while the readout on the cable box said "EAS."

There was no announcement, no image, and after 30 seconds or so the program resumed.

Is this a regular EAS "blip," or some sort of anomaly? Just seemed strange, so I'm giving it to the forum.

tis was the CME ....southern ontario went down too for a lil bit earlier

It's 3 in the morning and you are watching cheers...better save a little for the wake and bake.

Thank you! Cheers is over and now I'm learning about the P90-X. (Diligently watching for another odd EAS blip, of course)

CME's and Tommy Boy, Too bad he's not alive to make That movie, hehehe. Cell phone and internet service has been a pain in the butt for the past 24 hours in the Valley, assume CME is possible. good post!

That was weird nothing happens like that to me. Could it be a lost time shift thing and it was meant for afternoon and wound up in late night.I'll pay closer attention to the tv if I have one of my rare sleepless nights and am watching it late.
