I just loved her music style, vocal ability. RIP

Three-time Grammy winner singer Etta James, a pioneer of 1950s rhythm and blues and rock music known for her show-stopping hit At Last, has died at age 73 from complications of leukaemia.

The world should miss this incredible woman, her vocals have brought tears to my eyes, but they have also brought life to my feet.

If you have not heard her music you have truly missed out on an aspect of modern culture, she sang with her heart and soul.

Makes me sad at the state of music today when Beyoncé has 16 grammys
And etta James got just 3

Beyonce is all that is wrong with music today.
She cant sing that well and she has totally no soul in her voice.
but yet she is classes as a god.

One of my younger siblings was trying to convince me that the "dub step" music was equal to yesterdays music in artistic quality.

I couldn't help but to laugh at her (20 years old), as most if not all dub step is just simple remixes of older music. Most anyone with a computer can create dub step, using older music and just putting a more modern rhythmic to it.

ill go a step further and say todays music in general has died years and years ago, now its just a zombie walking around eating peoples brains, making them dumber. it takes no skill to write songs today.

todays music need a bullet to the head. or kill it with fire

well I just got out my 'the best of Etta' and it is cranked up very loud right now.

She was the true Queen of Soul imo

Just listening to 'got up this morning' - words can't describe how good her voice is.

About 25 years ago and didn't really know too much about her but when she sang, my heart stopped and I'll never forget that moment...ever.

RIP Etta.

It is sad such a great singer. Loved her from the first time I heard her singing with BB King. She will be missed.
