hey fellas,

thought about this pretty often..

would any of you want to get back into the "matrix" if you could?

you know - back to being a sheeple.... of course it is impossible to get back, but if you could - would you?

while I appreciate everything i found due to "our stuff" and imho became a much much better human being - i have to ask - wasnt it waaaay easier "back then"?

you know...watching tv and stuff...not much or no reading at all....

im curious about your opinions ...would you want to go back?

p.s if you plan on flaming me for using the word "matrix" and if you think there is no matrix dont even bother to respond .

But there is no turning back!

ignorance really is a bliss isnt it? ..

wasnt it much more "carefree" in the good ole sheeple days?

sure, yes! having a matrix worker life without being in the matrix at all it's something really stressing.
i'd love to be sheeple in this exact moment.

And give up my ability to dodge bullets and run on walls? Neva!!!

I can't imagine living in that faux reality anymore. Knowledge is power. How can we ever change and grow as a species if we turn back to advocating ignorance? Wake, and remain awake. That's the trick. I often times find myself drifting off to sleep, and I have to slap myself to keep from dozing off.

you base your entire "argument " on a fantasy - and expect not to get flamed

would choose death over reentering the matrix .. I prefer to live my life on my terms as a human being not as a mindless slave to the system...

Occasionaly, especially after a hot debate with "airheads".

But on the whole, no. It's been an interesting and enlightening journey so far, and I'm enjoying the ride

And how is "reading" any different from "watching tv and stuff"?
Both things have the same end result, filling your head with BS information and shaping
your opinions to conform with an idea that somebody else thought up instead of you.

I'm pretty sure the OP was referring to 'the matrix' as a metaphor for being "plugged into the system" and not the actual human powerplant as depicted in the movie, lol.

The "matrix" in this case, is like being blind to the truth in front of you.

(could be wrong)

well for one ..

the one thing is active while the other remains passive and adjusts your brainwave to a hypnotic kind of state..

furthermore you decide what you read- you dont decide what you watch on tv
in addition dont you think reading someone elses thoughts over their whole period of life does not speed up your own process of self development?

It's interesting that you ask this because I was just thinking about that scene from the Matrix where Neo is all depressed and asks Morpheus "I can't go back, can I?" and Morpheus responds with "No. But would you really want to if you could?"

Sometimes it would be nice to be plugged back in, but overall I would rather know the Truth.

Id say its completly worth it.
Yes it is VERY annoying, but if you keep at it, and keep spitting undeniable facts and point out societys flaws with stories that make it VERY obv (Usually just size it down, and people realize how fragged the world is).

Its taken time, but most the people i surrond myself by, are starting to open their eyes, its imposible for them not to.
(Care thought, ease them in, with Interesting facts, get them curious about the world around them, do NOT start with doom and gloom, that is the reason they are alseep in the first place)

no turning back ... i like that! sometimes I think it might be better, maybe not for me, but for people surrounding me. but I always tell myself, it happened to me, so sooner or later it will happen to them as well and at least I am able to help out, in case help is needed.
Now I am just looking forward to what is coming, since everyday has something magical and I like that even more :-)

I would say no, part of why I feel I am here on Earth is to understand, learn and perceive more than what is sat in front of me. Ultimately it is those who do not understand what is going on that get screwed first.
