And to think people actually believe that China is an example of communism. But then again people actually believe that the US is capitalistic also. Different labels same result.

Just about any other government on the face of the earth also demonstrates this kind of behavior. The money/power elite, in whatever country or economic/political system is implemented, care about themselves and their cronies, and the hell with everybody else.

Everybody else to the MPE is just "resources", used to get the MPE more and more.

The form of government or economic system has less to do with how well it works for the masses than does the quality of the people implementing said government or economic system. Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, Libertarianism, Dictatorship or Monarchy, they all work as well or as poorly as the people implementing them.

At least in China the corruption is blatant and everyone knows the quid pro quo. Better than telling everyone you are some incorruptible entity determined to bring fairness to the population.

I like my corruption.... two parts in your face and one part lavish expenditures.

Why is this a surprise. The Chinese Communist Party run the country, have no legal limitations what they can do. This is demonstrated time and time again in the way they treat the Chinese, the environment and their exploitation generally.
