This article kind of enraged me. China is apparently in desperate need of new school buses, but the Chinese government has said there is no money for
them, despite the fact that they are buying themselves extremely lavish cars with government dollars (yuan, to be exact). To add insult to injury,
government officials are doing all sorts of things to skirt the system and even make a profit from getting their car repaired, sort of similar to
health insurance billing scams in America.
This is a great example of government abuse and misuse of funds for their own benefit. They really just don't care about the needs of others. Is it
me, or does this same sentiment seem rather pervasive in governments across the world? What other examples can you think of?
