I wondered about sewage, wouldn't it smell of crap though?

You would think that but im speculating the sewage has broken down so much and tranformed into foam the smell isn't as potent.

That called "deadmans spit". We have it here on florida beaches all the time.No big deal, course to folks that have never seen the event it can be rather weird..

Being from Blackpool myself I know that we are not known for having the cleanest of seas, but I have never witnessed anything like that before. And to be honest I haven't even heard anyone mention it to me in the pub or anything!

Strange I think.

This looks like a combo of incredibly wierd and incredibly fun!

Assuming it isn't toxic at all (which it likely isn't as I have seen similar things in FL and in Milwaukee while I was growing up from Lake Michigan), it would be amazingly fun as a kid! Picture 4 foot deep foam everywhere to play in!

Sewage?

Sewage?

I'm not trolling, I think it may be sewage byproduct mixed with some unknown other substances.

The stupidity of reporters never ceases to amaze me!

"Hmmmm.... there is feet of this crap here, I think I will pretend I am at a foam party and cover myself in it for the camera"

I hope he has had his shots...

The best part of that video is when the reporter says, "It doesn't taste great."

Classic.......................

So the foam's getting blown in from the sea, can you imagine the rust it will cause on things that wont dont get washed properly from the salt content.

I have seen this foam substance before but never on this scale, this could possibly be due too some sort of residue from some natural event in the sea
