Dow AgroSciences, which along with DuPont and Monsanto is heavily invested in genetically engineered crops, has petitioned the U.S. government to deregulate a variety of GE corn that's resistant to 2,4-D, which comprises 50% of the recipe of Agent Orange.

I would love to hear from a genetics expert on this. After the corn is reaped, the remnants are tilled back into the ground. Is that ground poisoned for any other crops? What could happen to the water sources? Underground water sources across the midwest substantially account for much of the irrigation. The possible devastation here could be unprecedented.

2,4-D is the most widely used herbicide in the world, and the 3rd most common in the USA, so they aren't going to "start" using it at all!

Microbes in the soil break it down with a half life measured between 1.5 and 16 days in the soil, and similarly in plant tissue

if they do that nothing will grow for years in the areas they spray . theres places in vietnam where nothing grows today due to agent orange along with babies having a higher rate of birth defects than elsewhere. also it made alot of people sterile . ended up adopt kids due to being sterile from exposure to agent orange during my tours in vietnam back in the 60's.. dupont, monsanto and the rest can all go to hell.

If this is real... i've literally been waiting for this for a while.
