This kind of stuff just helps Ron Paul. TPTB are obviously in a panic. They don't seem to be able to even fathom Ron Paul's true appeal. His support is across the political spectrum.

With every news article about TSA expanding it's power, budget, reach, and so on, more people run to Ron Paul. Everyone is too worried about the ecomomy, and losing our freedom right now to care about drugs, and the failed war on drugs. Half the people in the country are ready to leagalize pot anyway. How do I know this? The msm told me before RP was an issue.

They're going to backhand Ron Paul into the white house.

Lol. This is pretty funny. The fact that you support Ron Paul makes you less of an idiot than those who support any of the status quo, big business, big government, pro-war, pro-torture, anti-civil liberties candidates. Most of the people I work with that aren't scared to death to talk about politics at work are die hard Ron Paul supporters. These are people who get drug tested regularly. In fact, I haven't heard anyone with enough courage, besides Ron Paul supporters, that will openly admit who they are going to vote for. I would say 90% of the time whenever I mention RP we have a long conversation about him and how we are tired of clown candidates. There are however a few that stay silent and tread conversation thinly. Those are the ones I suspect will vote on a candidate based on religion or their race as those candidates have little or no real substance that is worthy of conversation. The harder they try to paint Ron Paul as a wicked man, the more it has an opposite effect. Arrogance will be the downfall of the constitution haters. The only thing this is doing is confusing people with lesser mental fortitude, which to be quite honest is not what makes a good supporter. Couch potatoes, bigots, and the feeble minded need not apply. We already have a country and political system built on ignorance and it has to stop. Empty votes are worthless to this movement. It may take 20 years and a lot of pain but it has to happen the right way and people's hearts have to be in the right place.

If medication drugs count than I am guilty...probably everyone on this site is guilty then...and I DO NOT agree with RP stance on drug legalization at all, well maybe steroids I would not mind, those dont seem to hurt anyone and you can still function with too much muscle : )

Almost everything I do agree with him on however...

Seriously? You don't think steroids cause harm? You pump yourself full of unnatural amounts of sex and growth hormones, that can cause all kinds of growths from tumors, to heart enlargement (the heart's a muscle too). Steroid use is a dangerous game to play. Testosterone is good when taken in the proper amounts to regain youthful levels, but not to get to the levels of a bull. That said, I don't think it should be anybody else's business what you decide to put in your own body, just hope you do the research and know the semi-safe way to cycle them.

Your argument would make sense if you didn't research anything. But if you did, you would see he has had the same opinion on legalization since he had been elected congressman. Stop thinking about it as Dem VS Reb and start looking at the consistency of the message. Look at the person..... You have to realize too, he is more of a libertarian than Rep, he just has to run as a Reb to be able to be included in debates.

Just take a look at who owns CNN and you will have your answer as to why they think Paul's economic plans are wrong.

I'm ready to begin labeling everyone against Dr. Paul as deadbeat pseudo-intellectual terrorists that know nothing about economics and want to see our country die.... who's coming with me?!?!

I am not an american and Ron Paul is my favorite politician in the world. I hear him speak and I actually believe what he says! Its disgusting how CNN blatantly tries to smear his image but the funny thing is they cant use the issues but rather just bs propoganda and now his supporters are wrong lol.

The look in Wolf Shlitzer's eyes gets creepy to everytime he is on about Ron Paul almsot like he is in attack mode?

Actually I think it's good that Ron Paul is miss represented and maligned by the media, BECAUSE despite many who believe the American citizen to simply be sheeple, there are many more peoply than ever supposed, that are articulate and well read, along with an awareness of the BS the News agencies are pushing. It only Angers the Supporters, and it is quickly decried and in place of these propiganda stories, the average citizen is looking deeper into all these acquisations and determining for themselves that ultimatly Ron Paul is the Man, the one politition left that is clean and can bring change...

When the left get this frenzied over a candadate they are truely worried, but this also shows how indifferent the GOP is to a republican candadate they don't agree with.At this point the GOP are no better then the socialist left, there all the same.

If the GOP can't have it there way then they would rather see Obama in for another 4 year's.It's almost like if you don't vote for the candadate we choose for you then we will punish you.

Can this country's politics be this corrupt.........................I mean really!!

I fear if we even get an election we as a country are going to be shocked,no matter who is elected. Like I said before, even if RP does not make it,his participation alone will show us the true nature of this country's corrupt politic's and where we as a free people truely stand.

He doesn't have to say the words in order for others to see what he is really saying.

Um no, he didn't say either word. If you want to attribute that to him he should have at least written it. You are inferring these things because you want to.

I've honestly been unable to come up with a single reason why someone would not absolutely adore Ron Paul. But it struck me this morning: The only people who couldn't love Ron Paul the same way he loves the constitution are the people who stand to lose a LOT of money, power, or wealth as a result of the country being turned back over to the people.

Luckily for us Paul supporters, people like that are few and far between.

What does this have to do with anything I said?

Please show me where "druggie" or "idiot" appear in the piece.

I didn't read "druggies" or "idiots" in there.

Maybe you taking it a bit too personally? It is an opinion piece.

he's not taking it too personally, this is the truth. It's been a subtle way to categorize his followers by showing that some people are attracted to his "legalize drugs" outlook, so they must be druggies and some people are attracted to "this is what is really happening to our economy that no one is telling you" and people are being called idiots for listening. while I may not be a RP supporter myself, I will say the man does have some damning good points about our current government situation.

Only slightly off topic here but, I really hope Ron Paul wins the presidency. Not that I'm much a supporter of any American politics, but I just really want to see the reaction of the MSM when they have to eat there words. Yesterday I swear a half hour of the day was devoted to the words "Ron Paul will not be president. He has no chance. This is pointless to discuss."

Even, though I am not an american citizen, nor do I visit, or live with in the united states I personally would like to see Dr. Ron Paul come out the victor. As much as internally this does not effect me, American politics plays a huge role on the world. I must admit, I was infuriated at the title of your thread, and upon reading your thread my outrage became funneled towards CNN, I can not believe they will blatantly lie to slander and stain Dr Paul's credibility and at the same time endorse jack asses who have admitted or been caught with the same ugly qualities they are trying to pin on an innocent man. I AM NOT AN AMERICAN, and still I can watch a Ron Paul speech on television and feel he's honestly looking out for his people. Sadly every other fool who's spewed incomprehensible campaign promises that often contradict themselves, starting with Radical change for the people and ending with leaving it the same, or taking more from the people and sending 1000s of young men to die in a war they have no desire to be a part of. It's sickening. I really am hoping your elections benefit you this time around. I know I can be a little crude on ATS any time it comes to americans or patiriotism, but it really is in good fun and you have to admit there isn't another man on the planet that can be covered in # not a penny to his name and will proudly stand up and proclaim " I AM AN AMERICAN." It's a rather unique trait, I have not met any other people like you. Now, I know not all of you, but it definately seems a good number of you, are so proud you're blind to the faults in your nation. This could be a great conspiracy as many think, but when it comes time to vote, time and time again, the wrong candidate makes it through and the same problems or worse are allowed to run rampant until the next election.

Americans, please as my brothers, sisters and neighbours. Your country is in peril. We've spent many years fearing the foreign " enemies " and " Boogie men" for so long we have missed the real danger and allowed a much greater battle rage unseen and unhindered. I feel many of you have become wise to this, and yet it seems so many more happily pull the wool over their eyes and eat up the BS they are fed. Your time is now, it isn't too late. Please make the changes you have the power to make. Your constitution was created for just such a thing, it is WE THE PEOPLE ! The government is your servant, not the other way around! If you don't like it, YOU can and should change it. This doesn't require violence or protest, it really is as easy as getting up off your ass and voting. You have options right now, and if your dissatisfied with the options before you, you can vote to change those options!!! Where do you think presidential candidates come from ? You voted for them ! Do your own research if you don't like the Straw polls, or the media representation of the men and women set to lead you in the direction of the peoples choice.

So many of us get angry with the results of elections. We scream, some of us even cry and others proclaim the elections are fixed. Either way the end result tends to be anger and distaste towards those who win, when in fact we should be angry at our brothers and sisters. WE make the choice, how well do we know each other ? How many of us are willing to put the effort into understand who and what we are voting for ? How many of us vote to begin with ? I really hope this reply is getting through, and I really hope it's accepted well. Even if Paul is not your choice, do you know why you are voting for who you are ? Is your candidate right for you? Your family ? Your countrymen/women ?

If nothing at all I ask you all one thing. VOTE ! Exercise your constitutional right and VOTE for F*** sakes!

Hayyy, now all of you OWS haters who are Paul supporters know how the spin feels eh?

The "news" has done the same crazy spin in regards to the OWS protestors and many of you just ate it up in a nasty way. It'll just keep happening as long as people keep believing everything thing the news corps spew.

Happy politicking

Harm None
Peace
