Star for your post, that's how Paul should respond in that situation, hopefully his campaign manager is paying attention, LOL.

This reeks of shill. Whoever really authored those articles, I hope someone kicks their teeth so far down their throat that they have to get dentures for their anus.

This thread is complete propaganda!

Yep, and we're going to see a lot more of it. Good thing the very massive amount of RP supporters are already aware of this nonsense of a heap the MSM has been trying to pull for years. If people can't see that the MSM is desperately scrambling to get Paul out of the GOP nomination especially after the comments made about Iowa meaning nothing if he wins, then they are going to blindly bow to the establishment no matter what. Lost cause. Not so impressive, impressme.

Also might want to check out this article. (From 2008)

reason.com...

Financial records from 1985 and 2001 show that Rockwell, Paul's congressional chief of staff from 1978 to 1982, was a vice president of Ron Paul & Associates, the corporation that published the Ron Paul Political Report and the Ron Paul Survival Report.

During the period when the most incendiary items appeared—roughly 1989 to 1994—Rockwell and the prominent libertarian theorist Murray Rothbard championed an open strategy of exploiting racial and class resentment to build a coalition with populist "paleoconservatives," producing a flurry of articles and manifestos whose racially charged talking points and vocabulary mirrored the controversial Paul newsletters recently unearthed by The New Republic.

But a source close to the Paul presidential campaign told reason that Rockwell authored much of the content of the Political Report and Survival Report. "If Rockwell had any honor he'd come out and I say, ‘I wrote this stuff,'" said the source, who asked not to be named because Paul remains friendly with Rockwell and is reluctant to assign responsibility for the letters. "He should have done it 10 years ago."

Rockwell was publicly named as Paul's ghostwriter as far back as a 1988 issue of the now-defunct movement monthly American Libertarian. "This was based on my understanding at the time that Lew would write things that appeared in Ron's various newsletters," former AL editor Mike Holmes told reason. "Neither Ron nor Lew ever told me that, but other people close to them such as Murray Rothbard suggested that Lew was involved, and it was a common belief in libertarian circles."

I do support Paul, but he really needs to find out who exactly wrote these.

You might also want to note that during the period of time when these statements came out in the newsletters, Paul wasnt in politics

en.wikipedia.org...

(ex-text from section 4.3 1989-1995)

Paul resumed his private medical practice as well as taking part in other small business ventures. For 1992, RP&A earned $940,000 and employed Paul's family as well as Lew Rockwell (its vice-president[52] and occasional editor)[53] and seven other workers. Murray Rothbard and other libertarians believed Rockwell ghostwrote the newsletters for Paul;[52] Rockwell later acknowledged involvement in writing subscription letters, but attributed the newsletters to "seven or eight freelancers" .[54]

Yea, propaganda, like the witch hunt they pulled when it came to Sarah Palin, still everything the MSM has reported regarding "ALL" the candidates combined pales in comparison to what they did to her.

Oh, and I don't think she was actually guilty of anything.

I had no idea libertarians were racist.

Some may be that is.

What ever happened to human beings exercising LOGICAL THINKING? Why would a then Former republican presidential candidate and intent future candidate ever speak this talk or knowingly allow such publication of material?

Hog wash. It makes no sense. No sense at all. It's called logical thinking. You look at someone that's been taking the same exact stance on the same issues, officially in office for some 35+ years, and you think he really has this outspoken opinion, so strongly as to tarnish such a titanium record he has?

Logical Thinking..

I'm curious to know who you now support if your willing to reveal that. But back on topic. pay attention to your own links, one of the interviewers even says a news letter bearing your name and never says he actually wrote them.

Not all of them are, in fact most aren't, but Lew Rockwell is quite the nasty guy at times if you read his stuff. I think he tries to make inroads into the whole white power movement.

I'm going to try to explain their reasoning. Ever hear of that famous book called the Bell Curve? Basically, it states that blacks have lower IQ's than whites. This is true when you test them en masse, but the problem here is I can slant a test to get the results I want. Most people who administer these tests will tell you socio-economic factors are far more important considerations than race. The Bell Curve has numerous problems in it's conclusions beyond this, but after this book came out the racists had a "logical" reason to be racists. So now they had some kind of "rational" reason to argue for supremacy so to speak.

It may be old news, but Paul and his supporters should address this NOW and get it out of the way BEFORE the primary/general election. This is the one side of Paul I don't like, his fickle nature in interviews - taking off the mic and walking out of the interview will only cement the idea that he refuses to address or acknowledge those racist remarks in those newsletters in the minds of his detractors. He's got to relax a little in these situations and talk them through. The guy has a sharp mind and wit, storming out only makes him look petulant.

How many times does he have to address it? We're in the dozens now, by my count over the years.

I also agree he should have handled it better, but you do also have to think about it - you've lived, by all accounts, a wholesome clean life: you served in the military, were a country doctor who offered free & discounted services instead of accepting entitlement funds, loyally married for +50 years, and have actively legislated by and spoken about concepts of individual liberty, anti-collectivism of all sorts, self-reliance, and the like - and whenever you start performing well, all the "fair weather friends" who had you on so often for your respected opinions turn on you and start rehashing things that have already been addressed multiple times and are obviously being used in a political fashion.

Yeah, after the umpteenth time, I'd probably get a little pissy myself, at the least. Good form, no. Understandable...yeah, kinda.

I know they aren't all racist, I have tried to stay as far out of this political mess this time around as possible, but found this interesting,

What is Paul's relationship to Lew Rockwell?

People who are against Ron Paul are pathetic. It's almost as if they want to see America fail.

I saw that Yahoo deemed this story front page news worthy. The original article comes from the Atlantic Wire. The title is Ron Paul Suddenly Doesn't Want to Talk to Reporters About His Racist Newsletters. Apparently they weren't listening the first thousand times he answered the questions.

I believe Rockwell used to write some of Paul's newsletter's around that time.

He's in campaign mode, he'll have to address it every time it comes up. If he really wants to get serious, he should hold his own investigation as to who wrote exactly what, and disavow those statements. Otherwise he's going to hand the opposition a major victory.

So he obviously had a very close working relationship with Rockwell, interesting.

"Because of people like you," Paul snapped back, just before he pulled of his microphone and headed for the door. "I appreciate your answering the questions, and you understand it's our job to ask them," the reporter said, almost apologetically as Paul was leaving.

Ha, funny stuff, Paul needs to man up, or he is toast, however, to bad the MSM didn't vet Obama.

BTW Paul supporters, I am afraid your guy will never be president, the MSM wont allow it.

I should state that I think it might actually have been Rothbard who did most of the writing. These writings seem a lot like the racialist claptrap he spewed.
