Canada to sell oil to China

The Keystone is too much of a risk, we can do without leaking oil into our water supply.

Currently the Chinese economy, even by the smallest fractions is as dependent on oil as the USA is, but as you said, maybe that is changing.... Don't underestimate strategic moves by the Chinese when it comes to resources or what their actual objectives are.

The Chinese are far less dependent on oil than you assume, especially their economy, and that is an advantage they have, among many other things over the west, and especially the USA.

We use more than double the Oil of China, and their population outnumbers ours by nearly a billion.

Well then we disagree here. Which is ok.

I'm taking into account their growth rate which will create the situation where their demand for foreign oil will be that much higher than the US's have ever been. Where will they get that increase? Not domestically, Which makes their future growth not only more reliant on that foreign oil but more susceptible to global issues.



If the Chinese are so strategically savvy that means the West isn't?

We can set it all aside, and wait for a Middle East crisis that causes a major upward spike in oil prices and shortages, and we will see which economy weathers the storm best, the USA or China?

It wont be long... So chill out, have a few cold ones.
