United States Relations with Russia 1861 to 1865

Russia had a second motive to align itself behind the United States. A reunited United States would potentially be a powerful ally for the Russians, an ally that Russia desperately needed after losing the Crimean War. In 1863, Tsar Alexander II ordered the Russian Atlantic Fleet and the Pacific Fleet to United States ports for the winter. Many "construed" this action to mean that Russia was openly aiding the Union and that the Russian Navy would supplement the Federal Navy against the Confederacy.

However, this apparent meaning proved false. Tensions between Russia and England were escalating over Russian actions against the Polish and war between the two was on the horizon. The Tsar sent the navy to the United States so that the naval fleets would not be trapped by the winter ice in arctic Russia ports. An underlying motive probably was to warm American support for Russia in case of war with England.

The effects of the relationship between Russia and the United States were relatively few....

Not sure what everyone else thinks about these underground bunkers, that one under Denver Airport seems pretty strange with that mad painting on the wall. Are they for the 500,000,000 chosen ones?

Russia will not attack US with any nuclear bombs because they can see the protest against the government/wall street and they dont want to hurt the people that dont even agree. They know its the few people behind the scenes causing all the trouble.

Should you think Iran does not have the capability to strike western assets in Europe or even Israel is folly. They posses high grade soviet weapons of the new age and have been trained to use them.

I'm not going to waste time getting into a pissing contest between Iran's capabilities and those areas you think Iran is a threat to. Because, The reality is this, those potential targets you mentioned are not lame sitting ducks. They are more than capable of dealing with Iran on their own individually, never mind if Iran attacks Israel and then Bombs Turkey like they have threatened to do.

Piss off not one but two regional powers that individually have more fire power than they do?

Could they attack America on our own soil with any success? Rofl, no......... Could they set off the biggest powder keg the world has seen since the Cuban missile crisis as everyone draws there cards close to there chest and decides what hand to play? Well, you tell me.

Do you think Russia would risk the lives of tens of millions of it's own citizens over the likes of Iran or Syria? Russia didn't do a damn thing while their empire collapsed around them. They didn't do a damn thing when Eastern Europe collapsed at their doorstep. The didn't do too well in Afghanistan. They did a great job beating up little tiny Georgia though. I'll give them that.

it may not be there striking military but they have distinguished friends and those friends don't like the idea of of the U.S. moving any further East into Europe as they already have. It's a no brainier when you glance at a global map, checks and balances, all that.

Again, Are they willing to sacrifice millions of their own citizens over the likes of Iran and or Syria? Because this isn't a game. The Chess pieces have been moved.

The US/West have already positioned themselves in the Gulf.

Yes, Iran has vast oil reserves that generate a huge majority of wealth, sold to mainly Russia on the uptake. They have relevant, conventional weapons provided to them by other super powers, also mainly Russia in return for oil.

In conventional terms, Russia, Iran and Syria vs NATO is a joke, they would have 0 chance and most probably could not harm any assets in the far west. The problem is, would the world economy collapse under such an action given the state it is currently in? My answer is yes, and from that, you have the breakdown....
