I'm afraid the short answer to this is no.
You can try and uninstall the patriotism program but you have to remember that it's been continuously updated from birth and you could end up losing
alot of functions like honesty, integrety, and basic values which you may want to keep.
You could just switch the american off at the mains and reboot but again you could end up losing alot of valuable functions at the same time.
My advice is that if you are unhappy with your American you should simply go down to your local dealer and trade him in for a Canadian.
j/k
I tried a Canadian, and although they are far more stable than the American, the Canadian cannot match the power, adaptability and cheapness of the
American. Obviously the major problem with the American is the legacy programming and the fact it requires a great deal of maintenance, and not to
mention it's vunerability to attack from outside sources, this brings in the additional cost of protection which seems to be a never ending.
You may want to consider the European, which with it's open source programming has become very popular amongst those who wish to develop their own
systems, unfortunately this can be an over complex system as there are so many different sources of input.
