It could be the end of moon light if the moon gets hit. And the moon causes most waves? And has tidal connections also? And if the moon has lots of water connections and water is part of the human make up,im sure it would affect alot of change.

Interesting stuff to think about.

Also, most planets do not even have a moon...or life on them either.

It certainly would not. The moon already had LOTS of impacts over the last millions/billions of years..so i doubt that a "aircraft carrier size" asteroid would put an end to the moon...if anything, it would make a new, not even that big crater.

"firstly if it hit the moon.. its wouldnt smash the moon into pieces.."

The event to think about is the event the flying rock hits the moon and throws it out of alighnment.

My fingers have had alot of impact from fingernail clippers over the years, but a bullet of smaller size would take one clean off.

Your theory of events happening many times over years and that they have to happen the same everytime is false.

Also your theory that size is a larger factor than speed is also false.

Enough momentum and the moon will be shattered into pieces....doubtful this will happen.

BUT enough momentum and the moon WILL shatter into pieces.

WAIT,keep reading. We,if we are trying to be proper scientists will also factor in not only the momentum/speed but also the density of the flying object.....styrofoam will just hit the moons surface and sit..(KEEEP READING) A wet baseball traveling lightspeed might kick up some dust.
