For someone with alot of money and extreme bias you give Stewart an awful lot of credit. You think he really gives a rats ass?

He is the exact type of person these people are supposedly wanting to tax and destroy. He "annihilates" these people then goes and counts his seven figures, go figure.

But it's okay we get to be selective about who we chastise for having money....

How can you call yourself a politician and ignore or dismiss 3 out of every 4 people.

2012 elections are going to be quite interesting...corporatist shills will be needing a new job

Jon Stewart Corporate Shill.
edit on 23-10-2011 by neo96 because: (no reason given)

And again: The "Didn't you know he was rich?"-argument.
If we leave aside the ad-hominem thing, what is the character fault associated with having money?
And the funniest thing: I never hear it from the left.

There is no fault in having money if you throw your lot in with the left. It is as simple as that period.

It's a pick and choose joke. They target who they want based on political alignments. There is definitely a big wave of anti Wall Street anti Washington sentiment in our country. The problem is everyone wants so many different things there are too many factions and everyone is targeting everyone else with impunity.

No solidarity no real message no real ideas. . . . Just a bunch of angry people. Many I'm sure don't even know what they are really angry at or who they should be holding responsible. There are alot more necks to be tied off Wall Street then on but no one wants to hear that the heart of the matter does not lie with Wall Street.

Wall Street did not create nor propagate this problem on their own. But hey will all be happy when socialist reforms turns us into a broke from the get go EU. . . Won't we??

Ok let's break it down Jon Stewart gets paid by Comedy Central who is owned by Viacom which owns a lot of things including CBS, and MTV but that point is rather moot since we are talking about Stewart and who pays him and that is Wall Street.

Pretty simple All rich people are evil no wait just certain people who trend right limousine liberals are A-OK in their books.

The point here is the hypocrisy of OWS and the means to their supporters go the justify their little "movement".

The hypocrisy is all yours.
You are sayng that since stewart get's paid well, he should not be heard.
Now, Eric Cantors Net worth is definitely not that far from jon sewarts.
So, which of his statements is disqualified by this fact?
The one where he called for people to go into the streets, to let their displeasure be known, or the one where he said he was scared of the people going into the streets, to let their displeasure be known?

Hardly the hypocrisy is condemning any other "corporate news outlet" and praising Jon Stewart.

Try again get with the program if all corporate media is evil then they are all evil not just some of them that agree with their views.

Jon Stewert makes fun of the news people, makers, and talking heads, neo just doesn't like it when his side is hypocritically satirized. All rich people aren't evil. A lot are greedy and the rest are asking the US to tax them.
Which ones are greedy, Neo? Which party wants people out in the streets for the Rich?
Which campaign do you work for?

Get real want to talk taxation ok fine considering there are over 3 trillion in tax cuts for everyone not wall street and consider the statistics that say half of the people in this country pay no taxes whatsoever not corporations again and just how many people get refunds or paid any taxes whatsoever and get it right we are talking about income taxes.

All rich people aren't evil then do tell what does those signs mean that say "eat the rich" "kill the rich" and let's get one thing clear my side is the Constitutional Republic where the mob rule can not infringe of property rights on anyone in this country.

That is who i work for instead of the campaign of whine and cry and protest because i don't get my little way.

So which Eric Cantor should we ignore, because of his money? The one who welcomes angry mobs in the streets, or the one who is frightened by them?

Pot, meet kettle.

in the time I've been on ATS all I've seen you do is regurgitate talking point after talking point. When someone points it out you start the "poor neo" routine.

It's obvious you're a shill and I honestly don't understand why you're still allowed to post when all you do is regurgitate right wing scripts.

How does Stewart being rich make him a shill? OWS isn't against profits, or corporations in general...they are against profits on the backs of taxpayers. The money WS received is a prime example of what they're against. That doesn't mean they want communism

Eric Cantor isn't the topic of the thread wanna make one on it fine go for it.
Actually, in the video that's posted, Jon Stewart focuses on Eric Cantor more than any other Republican. So that's about as on topic as it gets.

Actually: Since Eric Cantors quotes where a central part of the stewart bit, this thread is more about Cantor, than it is about Stewarts bank account.
