Official: Obama announced U.S. pulling out all troops from Iraq VIDEO

(CNN) -- The United States will withdraw almost all its troops from Iraq by the end of the year, as a current agreement with Iraq dictates, a U.S. official told CNN Friday.
Only about 150 troops, a negligible force, will remain to assist in arms sales.
The United States had expected that some of the roughly 40,000 Americans in Iraq would remain there to aid in training and security.
But the two nations were unable to reach a deal on a key issue regarding legal immunity for U.S. troops, a senior U.S. military official with direct knowledge of the discussions told CNN this month.
The United States wanted to retain immunity but the Iraqis refused to agree to that, opening up the prospect of Americans being tried in Iraqi courts and subjected to Iraqi punishment.

Well I hope it happens this time,
It is about time we got out of Iraq.

Obama is announcing it now.

We have been there longer then we were in vietnam.
Only difference is death toll. We have lost no where
near the amount of men but we have lost enough
brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, ect.. ect.

"By the end of the year" is only 2 months away! So, they better be packing up now! I hope it is true also. Hopefully they will all be home for Christmas.

Although, this doesn't do much to help the unemployment and economy situation, but it is still great for the families involved!!

Now, the real question, are they going to Iran, Syria, or Pakistan next?

Out of Iraq and into Iran, it has begun...

Obama has to meet one of his campaign promises before the next election and he needs those troops rested and trained before they are sent to Iran.

Well, I think that speaks volumes really, almost all.

So whilst many will rejoice this, there will continue to be a presence. Not sure what extent the presence will be, but a presence none the less.

I agree, but probably better stated as "out of the frying pan, and into the fire". I hope something positive comes from this, but I don't see it at this time. This is certainly something to keep an eye on.

I almost get the feeling that they are pulling their troops out and hoping chaos ensues. Because logically they would want to keep as many troops as possible in Iraq to use it as a home base to attack Iran. Either that or they want the troops out of there because it Drone time in Iran and they dont want and retalitory effects to get the troops stationed in the ME.

something is up, as we all know, nothing is what it seems with this govt, something is in the works.

Of course this means only that theyll need those troops elsewhere, probably for the invasion, rape, slaughter and conquest of Iran.

It's about time.

They are sitting ducks for Iranian and Syrian retaliation to any future hostilities against them.

Now, lets get the hell out of all of these Islamic nations, and leave the region to sort itself out... Especially Israel.
