Ok this is my very first post, so go easy on me! I've read a lot about the strange sounds being heard around the world and audio/video recordings. Now we're getting those sounds above us here in the UK Gloucester.

What is so hard about these sounds is actually describing whats being heard, rusty trumpets of gigantic scale mixing with infrasound cyclic noise. I've decided to post this as it's now the third time in 7 days that these sounds have made an appearance in this region.

the first time we heard it we were outside walking around gloucester cathederal grounds, it wasn't really loud that time, but shortly after we saw an unusual aircraft, a black triangle aircraft that was larger (we think) to a stealth bomber and much more triangular apposed to the more wing shaped delta's, but when this odd craft flew over there was no sound, it was at about 2'500 feet, just above the cloud basin. This was :-

1. Sunday 2nd 15:22 .
2. Tuesday 4th at 11:10
3. Today's event was Thursday 6th at 13:26

we were at home with my mum visiting when we could hear the odd sound again, only this time it was so loud it was incredible, you could feel the sound pressure it was that loud, but as hard as i tried i could not locate the sound source and neither did i spot any unusual aircraft shortly after. The noise was so disturbing that the dog started barking franticly at the sky and she was shaking, also my youngest started crying when the noise started, to give you an idea of how loud it was, give we were inside at the time which is double glazed with no windows open.

I have a few questions:-

1.Are you near a highly protected base when you heard these sounds? Yes in our case RAF/USAF fairford, all the usual suspects fly in and out of here daily and fully loaded, often escort aircrafts by apache and black hawks

2.Are you experiencing unusual weather, when the noise can be heard? Yes in our case, end of heat wave and now a TS

3.Is it daytime or nighttime when you heard these sounds? Daytime only

4.Where you heard these sounds, do you have frequent chemtrailing? Very frequent

5. HAARP rings? general public don't have access to proper weather Doppler like in the U.S, but if you know a source let me know

6. Do you live near an oil refinery? No

7. After sound has gone, can you see iridescent trails and cloud disturbances in the sky? sometimes

8. Any recent or happening earthquakes? none, this region does have quakes but none recently, our quakes are rarely above 2.2mag

9. Do you live near a volcano - active, dormant or extinct? no, i think the nearest volcano is extinct snowdonia in wales,UK

let's start the investigation. Any other possible factors or suspects, let me know and i'll add them to the list above.

This thread is not for those who just wanna mock, have a laugh at us or be non-contructive in contribution. this thread is for those who are experiencing these sounds so we can communicate and discuss it here, if you haven't experienced it, but feel your input will be beneficial/scientific then please feel free in helping us.

MODS: this is my first thread, if it is in the wrong forum, please re-locate it

With reference to large aircraft triangular in shape, you might have seen a B2 Stealth bomber (spirit), this have been based at Fairford in the past although I was under the impression the ASAF presence at the base has been radically reduced, as of the end of 2010, maintained on a "care and maintenance" basis. It can however be re-activated to operational used in 24-48 hours. Has it been reactivated? There are climate controlled hangers at the base to house the B2, these were installed in 2006-2008.

Very interesting.
Any chance you could upload a video/audio recording?
Would be interesting to hear how this compares to other reports of strange sounds.
Thanks.

Do you live anywhere near a oil refinery or anything?

We hear loud noises where I live every night. But it comes from the refinery, every time we hear it in my home sounds like an aircraft landing. It can be quite scary sometimes.

yeah there is and also 33 floors underground! dont ask how i know. No it wasn't a B2, there beautiful aircrafts, but this wasn't a common ol' garden stealth bomber, as noted earlier it was much more triangular rather than a flying wing shape.

Also i dont believe for a nano second that the base was ever decom'ed, if anything it's got busier! certainly not a junker base.

lets gather all known events, plot them to a map to see any correlation, do we see any patterns for instance earthquakes, magma flows, volcano's, fly paths for aircrafts etc

Could this have been the culprit?

www.fightercontrol.co.uk...

Just a thought. This is in reference to the sounds heard today.

This is a VERY interesting post.

The first time we have someone reporting the sound PLUS a visual of a "strange craft"!!

This would explain the phenomenon - new, secret military plane w/ new type of engine.

If this is true - this is a significant and important posting!

Interesting post, perhaps Fairford is still very operational, they installed a Stealth Coating Dock a few years ago, they wouldn't have done that if they were closing things down, the dock is clearly visible on google earth, looks like an inflatable tent!

I see that new work continued up to 2008 including two B2 hangars, in 2009-2010 they withdrew USAF uniformed staff, although it is ready to be opened for business if needed, like the last Shuttle flight.

lets not forget Kemble airfield can land the shuttle too, not to mention the odd goings on there too and only miles away from fairford. there is some very interesting oddities about kemble like DV clearance etc, businesses that use the airfield have to sign the S21, including the nursery there.

well the aircraft looked like this or a more triangular version of the X43A, just like this graphic it had twin tail planes and while being observed flew like any other jet, must make it clear that after the initial very loud noise, all that remained was a very deep cyclic infra-sound that made you feel nauseous, my guess 12-19 cycles, no jet/scram or prop noise what so ever was black as night in colour :-

That's odd all right, maybe they would use Kemble for rendition flights. I didn't know about the shuttle abort use, I thought the shuttle needed 8000ft for a 'short' landing.

Just to add, that S21 may be a declaration form, Verification of clients' identities (S21) I think it's used in prevention of illegal bullion or goods transfers, or something like that.

We don't have doppler radar in the UK.

However, normal rainfal radar is available on the Met Office website as well as courtesy of Meteogroup.

not sure about the 8000ft, but kemble does have a very very long runway, concorde and you can land an A380 there , but you can use a very long runway for inital slowing to jet speeds, then deploy a carrier type system they use to halt the craft. i guess it would work.

there is at the moment very high presence of fighter jets (at night), black hawks, apaches, bombers, ive seen B118's and B2 taxi'ing too (at night) i'm a star gazer!, they like flying right over my house recently! lol
