it almost sounds like the title of a movie sequel - but i digress

mr jobs has been dead less than 60 hours and the news of his death has sparked a ` feeding fenzy ` of threads on ATS , and elsewhere

skimming through the contents of this deluge , there is a malicious streak a mile wide , filled with runour , denigration , libel , innuendo and unevidenced supposition

but above all hate ,

and not just hate - but the need to be seen to be hating

just my opinion :

but absolutley fooking pathetic

some one asked in a thread " what did steve jobs ever do for us "

a more pertinant question :

what did steve jobs ever do to you , not enyone else but YOU ?

think about that before posting further

and thats all i have to say about that

Why should anyone automatically become a saint after death?

He normalized walking around with a GPS and a camera with you at all times. Now, that's enough for me...

sainthood ? - where did that strawman come from ???????????? please re read my OP , and pay particular atention to the line where i say " being seen to be hating "

i never told any one what to think about him - or that they should like him

all i asked was to reflect why ? before adding to the outpourings of vitriol against him

too much to ask ??????????

If the *bloke* is dead then why would us discussing his legacy
have any impact or bother him>>??

The question is not WHAT DID HE DO TOO YOU

The question is WHAT DID HE DO FOR YOU!! I MEAN REALLY FOR YOU!! He come over and wash your car
or drank a beer with you or helped you out with the mortage? Swap wives with you anything REALLY for you!??
People lived without this s**t for thousands of years whooopeee freakin ding..

The way I see it, your OP is just your stance on the issue. It is sort of incoherent (not trying to insult you, maybe I just don't understand it well enough), but what I get is that since he has been dead for just 60 hours, there shouldn't be so much hateful comments about him. Well, if your only concern is what he ever did to you, we can all move along. But you have to acknowledge that people care about what others do to the world, not just to them. In that case, I feel there is reason behind much of the hate.

And please, don't be so defensive guy. Strawman? I'm not debating your opinions!

What did anyone ever do to you??

Bill Gates?
Charles Manson
Hitler
Princess Diana
Dave at number 12

Anyone?? Doesn’t mean you can’t have an opinion on their actions.
