Bet this old hippie and her goats on top of the mountain, fares better when TSHTF than you do. While you are sifting through the rubble of your local safeway store...I'll be sitting down to a fine meal of home grown/canned goodies and goat milk.

I didn't mean to stir up anyone. I figured everyone would realize I was sensationalizing with the title. If we hippies can't laugh at ourselves, we're in trouble.

Speaking of shirts, my 19-year-old has developed a passion for tye-dying over this past summer, and I have no idea where it came from. I must have passed on a hippie gene or something.

I prefer warm dye to cold dye. My favorite is the rainbow spiral. For those who don't know, wet the shirt and spread it on a hard floor. Pinch it in the middle and twist it up while pressing it to the floor. You'll have a disk with a spiral folded into it. Tie it 3 times to keep the shape. Evenly spaced ties will be your guide. Dip half in yellow. Turn it less than half way. Dip half in red. Repeat with blue.
