Over the past hour n a half ive witnessed 6 very strange flashes in the night sky,at first i thought it was lighting but each time the flash occurs i cant make out a single bolt, the sky is pretty clear, not many clouds and my local news site isnt showing any storms in the area.My brother lives about 100 miles south of me in nogales AZ and he called me about 30 minutes ago saying he saw 3 strange flashes northwest of his location,he also said theres been a heavy amount of flight exercises today by the AF ,can someone explain this?im in tucson AZ btw..

That is a bit strange. Interesting.

But I was reading up and watching some videos, and noticed they said when lights like that happen, an earthquake could be present.

It was for flashing lights and/or lights in general. But they said that on this show I watched.
So this could be it.

Or an obvious lightning, but no.

Have you seen the other thread about flashes? Some one else was experiencing the same thing a couple days ago. I have experienced some flash, only it was inside but I do not think it was inside a room but inside my head. My mom experienced the same thing. I was in my dark room about to go to bed, I had just turned off all the lights and walked to my bed, then I saw a bright flash that did not light up the room, just a white flash. My first thought was oh # the men in black just gave me a visit... lol. I talked to my mom the next day and she said she experienced the same thing. Strange.

I was sleeping and awoke to a flash and at first I thought it might be lightening, then I went back to sleep said whatever, next thing I know it's pouring rain, really hard and lighting out. So, I either dreamt lightening or it was really lighting.

OK...there is no storm cells and in five minutes I witnessed three flashes approximation is this location. I know this because I am a "monsoon" weather nut.

The light appears to flash from the Dopler site here:

www.wunderground.com...

Note, I am looking west from J6/Mexcal Rd. and I-10.

I was standing at outside @ 8:30 and also saw strange lighting flashes, I am in Tucson, Az, The flashes looked very strange, because I noticed there were no clouds or thunders that followed, From my vantage point at Mountain View High School, the flashes were to the southwest of the city, the flashes were also very bright white with a blue tint. I thought this was kind of creepy, because it’s a hot night and not the correct weather conditions for thunder storms tonight.

Hi Vic,

I'm in between you & your brother and my kitchen window faces south in the direction of Nogales. Just saw about three flashes all occuring within the last 1/2 hour. Sky is fairly clear but there is some haze/clouds although I can see some stars.

Make that four, another one just happened a few mins ago. This time I had a clear view of the sky, no clouds and still it flashed.

Could still be heat lightening. Who knows.

Hot night? Bite your tongue. lol

Finally getting some respite from the humidity we had during monsoon season so to me it is definitely not hot out.

At least I can now put my evaporative cooler aka swamp cooler back on and it's actually throwing off some nice cool air throughout the day/evening.

Going back to look at the flashes.
