Why can't I access RATS any more?

The title says it all really.. I used to be able to access RATS, but never found anything to garner my attention at the time. Now that I really want to access it, I can't.. Any specific reasons?

I heard something a while ago (an argument on another forum about RATS - seemingly suggesting it was being abandoned). I have learned that it's quite possible for me to be wrong, so please enlighten me about this one...

RATS is a special out of reach forum for sensitive topics and research projects.

It's not available to all members, it does not appear in ATS or Google Searches either.

Any thread really qualifies for RATS, but members mostly create threads there in order to keep a more civilized conversation with more established members who frequent the forum.

It's not used all that often.

Yes,

Any member who can see the forum has access to it. It's a post count requirement I think.

If you have to ask, you don't want to know.

If you can get in, you can get in.

I nearly posted a thread in there but then realised it'd need higher clearance than RATS allows for! Wouldn't want to get myself 404'd...

Rats are no friend to Cats...

Dogs are... Well, Dogs I suppose. Plus many are descended from wolves, which is kind of cool.
