Great thread idea. At present I am selling HVAC equipment and working on patent for traffic signal feedback loop.

I bet I'm not the only one whose had a very eclectic mix of jobs. Highlights and lowlights include. Nightclub owner Washington DC, janitor, water purification co owner, diener - assisted in autopsies, audio engineer, gas pump attendant, director photography discovery network, carpenter, project manager sign manufacture/install, general contractor, studio manager Brookings institution, drugstore clerk...

Always willing to learn. That's why I'm a sucker for ATS.

I thought I was the only one that loved stepping stones

Here is my rather small list in no particular order...

Bank Teller
Warehouse Op
Customer Service Advisor
Driver
Insurance Salesman
Financial Advisor
Debt Collector
HR Administrator
Recruitment Consultant
Lab Technologist
Scientist
Life Insurance assessor

I will be making a living as a stage hypnotist within the next few weeks, which feels very strange to say considering that I would never have believed life would turn in that direction

I also love producing music in my spare time although I make nothing from it. It helps keep your soul alive however, so I would rate it as a living too!

Currently I work in a petrol ststion punping gas.
Previously I've worked Installing A/C systems on large building sites. I've worked in a pack house making boxes for kiwi fruit. I've been a carpet cleaner chimney sweep and carpet/vynal layer. I've stocked shelves in a supermarket. I done security for strippers and hookers. I've worked as a pest control technition. I was a car mechanic for a number of years. I've been a brickies labourer and a builders labourer. I worked on a dairy farm. That's only the stuff i got paid for. I took my first church sermon when I was ninteen. I ran church youth groups into my early twenties. I've done voluntary work in India building houses. I've built a 500watt rms mono block amplifer that drove 2 x 12" subs. I designed the enclosures for the subs. I rebuilt my first car engine when I was ninteen. I've dealt drugs but mainly to keep the supply flowing not for profit. I've written storied and poetry. I've counselled friends that have been depressed and suicidal> I could go on and on.

About half of the above listed things were kewl... the other half sucked.

Sometimes I wonder if perhaps I wasn't such a pain in the arse, would I be able to get a decent paying job.

Oh... and for a hobby I research theoretical sciences.

Well, since I am older than alot of you I will have a longer post---maybe! Raised on a farm until 17.
Cooked for a large very wealthy rancher and his wife and 7 children when I was 17.
Became a Powers model when I was 18 and earned big bucks as a runway model. Attended art school while modeling and became a dress designer at 19.
Married and became the mother of 7. Hubby moved us all to his fathers 80,000 acre cattle ranch and we lived there for 7 years without water in the house or electricity. Taught all my kids to be cowboys and cowgirls.
Moved back to home town and got a job cooking in the nursing home. Worked there for a couple years then got a cooking job at the local bar. Was made manager the night the swat team was called out.
Quit after a year but worked there another two years for two different owners.
Moved to a cute little house of my dreams and am still living in it but with a 40 year old son and his girlfriend and a 33 year old son and his 4 children. 40 year old is a cop but 33 year old is still looking for a job.
Now my job is cooking, washing clothes and dishes. making volcanos, and valentines and trying to find enough space in my house for me and what I want to do.

Wow! There's a lot of diversity here! It's good to have a better understanding as to who are the ones contributing to ATS

Currently working in fast food to get by and spending my free time working out and mentally preparing to join the Dutch KCT.
Speaking of fast food... I'm late for work lol. Why u be so addictive ATS?

That actually makes me wonder whether people do actually "Plug leaky buckets" for a living

Yes there are people who do that job. They are called squids or swabbies.

Hey, wait a minute. I was a swabbie and I never plugged a leaky bucker in my life, made a few of them, but never plugged one.
