Uhm yeah...that isn't a poll. It's Howard Stern for gods sake.

Are you kidding me...you are using that as proof??

See TreadUpon's post for another example. These were all over the t.v. back then. Especially on the comedy circuit because it was so outlandish.

And don't bother with the "pics or it didn't happen" mentality. I am not inclined to waste my time pulling up every shred of evidence on something that was so widely discussed during the election. You can act like you didn't hear it all you want. But I,m not gonna play along.

Thanks for the post. I think it is so juvenile when people act as though something contrary to their opinions didn't happen.

Let me remind you of your claim.

when polled, most African-Americans did not even know a single issue where Obama stood on his platform.

WHEN POLLED, MOST AFRICAN-AMERICANS...

Please provide proof of THAT statement.

Your statment wans't that you saw a few examples on comedy shows or the Howard Stern show
where this happened. You claimed MOST...meaning the MAJORITY...and you claimed it was POLLED data.

Words mean things...in this case you are claiming there is a poll out there somewhere that shows a majority of African Americans voted for Obama without knowing ANY of his stances on issues.

So please...stop dancing around your mis-information and just come out and admit you were wrong.

Specifics...

The U.S. apology tour.

Bailouts.

Socialized Health Care.

Libya.

Lame Jobs Bill.

Just off the top of my head...

Do I need to find those sources too? Or didn't those things happen either?

What's happened in the past three years is that the republican party has given a whole new meaning to the term filibuster and they have done so in record numbers. They have literally changed the way in which congress works and to be quite frank, they have made it to where congress "doesn't work" and that's the nuts of our problems. Under the new republican mentality, in which it now takes 60 votes in the senate to get anything approved, nothing will ever get done. The biggest obstacle in our way, with regards to our economic recovery, is the current obstructionist tactics being propagated in congress by the GOP/Tea Party.

The U.S. apology tour.

Was a good thing...talking to countries and not acting like we are their kings is a good thing.

Bailouts.

Bailouts were under Bush...Stimulus was Obama...let's keep facts straight.

Socialized Health Care.

I wish. What was passed is nothing anywhere close to Socialized Health Care...it should have been...but it's not. Again...FACTS...not propaganda.

Libya.

What about it? Going in as part of a coalition to help oppressed people is not a bad thing. We didn't invade, we aren't occupying that country...what's your beef with this?

Lame Jobs Bill.

LOL...yes...give me all the specifics of the bill that you haven't even seen yet that are "lame".

Do I need to find those sources too? Or didn't those things happen either?

No...I don't think there are official links to Republican propaganda and rhetoric.

I'm so glad you exposed yourself...showing that you only listen to the propaganda and don't have any facts straight at all.

So there you have it...75% of Republicans don't care abou the issues...as long as the nominee can beat Obama...that is good enough for them.

So once again, we will have an election where Republicans aren't voting FOR their candidate...they will just be voting AGAINST Obama.

Republicans...why is it so hard for you to just find someone you support and vote FOR them instead of voting AGAINST someone else???

I'm actually surprised that you would feel the need to post about this. I'd think that if the same poll were given to Democrats after 8 yrs of the W, they would have responded the same way. It's exactly what both sides want, don't pay attention to issues, just know that I'm not that other guy/gal. Not unusual.

The Republican Party did not have the majority of seats until 2010. That's 2 years that Obama had to push his agenda through. Maybe someone had had enough of that.

It's simple really. Republicans want another Reagan who can generate the votes and the cash flow necessary to beat Emperor Obama. That's how Bush did it, that's how Obama did it. That's how all elections are won. Generating votes and then when the public realizes they elected the wrong person, their attitude towards the President Plummets. Obama's polls were at 19% approval rating (I think) last time I checked!

None of the GOP nominations have the mentality right now, the GOP is divided on many issues and that's probably why its hard for many of them to agree on the same thing. It goes from Perry to Bachmann and maybe a little Ron Paul. Whereas Romney and Huntsman (who are both logical) are left in the dust. People like extremism, and that's how Obama won. Liberals can deny it all they want but people STILL blame Bush for everything that Obama's done. It's been three years!!!!! Bush has been LONG Gone. Obama hasn't done much to fix this economy or enact upon the CHANGE that he promised. I do see a change but it's not the one that I had hoped for.

I guess by saying that I do not subscribe to the Liberal Socialist bleeding heart agenda makes me a Republican propagandist then I guess I can live with that.

Funny when I wrote bailout you corrected me by saying stimulus. But you knew what I meant. That is typical modus operandi- pick apart a minuscule word or phrase in an attempt to avoid the truth.

WHAT????

How in the hell am I supposed to "know what you meant"??? The bailouts and the stimulus are TWO DIFFERNET THINGS.

And it is a common thing Republicans try to spin...they commonly try to put the bailouts on Obama when it was in fact Bush.

WORDS MEAN THINGS.

Stop talking if you can't say what you really mean.

That response of yours showed me that you at least assumed I was referring to the stimulus or else why would you have corrected in that manner? If you had NO IDEA what I was talking about maybe your response would have been, "Bailouts?? What bailouts??"

That is my point. You scrutinize every post under a microscope. "Words are important" Sound like the grammar nazis!! Lets quit nitpicking and look at the bigger picture.

This country has gone in the toilet over the past 3 years and when that happens people have always pointed to the man in the WH. Why can't we do the same now? What makes this POTUS any different?

Let the liberal spin begin!!

Your argument is WAY off base here my eyes-wide-closed friend. You want to Blame Bush, AGAIN, for the bailouts that President Elect Obama requested...OBAMA's BAILOUT

Now that you know that words mean things I wonder if you'll finally stop talking since you can't say what you mean?

Sadly is like everything in this nation, nobody really understand what is going on with our economy and neither with our political system.

Voting for party favorites is all that runs in their misguided minds, many Americas have not clue that is exactly those two political parties that they take sides with in with faithful blindness that are killing this nation robing their pockets dry.

When the people of a nation loses their purpose they can be easily manipulated.

Our nation is going down because we Americans has allowed to happen.

Again...the collapse of the economy happened under Bush...you can't blame Obama for the collapse.

Obama has been doing all he can to get it back rolling, he has had limited success. If you look at corporate profits, he has had total success. Obama can't force these companies to use these profits to start hiring again...that is out of his control.

He has cut taxes, he has extended unemployment benefits, and he is trying hard to get companies to start hiring.

What else would you like him to do? Better yet...what has he done (specifically) that you think has directly caused things to get worse???

What did I tell you, people in this nation have short time memories, they can not even remember what they had for breakfast in the afternoon so do not expect them to link the downfall of the nation on decades of bad policies coming from the two elite parties in power.

They will always blame the party that is opposed to the ones they worship.

because history elude them when it comes to politics.

No wonder we are going down as a nation, the population has lost their ability to think and analyzed before coming to conclusions, they rather wait for the propaganda of their favorite political parties to tell them what is the truth and they take it without even questioning.

Sorry, but I couldn't help but to interject my thoughts on this one. Do you honestly believe that we, (the U.S.) has never done anything that would be worthy of apologizing for? If so, you might want to refresh your recollection of U.S. foreign policy especially when it comes to our past support of repressive dictatorial regimes around the world.

When it comes to the "bailouts," well if I'm not mistaken, TARP took place prior to Obama's election. I seem to remember John McCain temporarily suspending his campaign so that he could return to Washington to address the pending TARP legislation. I also seem to remember that it was the first half of the TARP money, (passed out prior to the 2008 elections during the Bush administration, that no one seems to be able to trace.)

Regarding "socialized health care," well the only part of the health care reform act that has come under attack is the personal mandate to purchase health care insurance from a private, "for-profit" insurer, something that the GOP insisted upon during the health care reform debate. I seem to remember that us democrats wanted, but were refused, a "seat at the table" for both, "Medicare For All" and/or "Public Option" representatives. Now that the GOP screwed up the bill, they want it declared unconstitutional. Furthermore, it's funny how the "personal mandate" was a "Heritage Foundation" mainstay right up until the moment that Obama supported the idea and then it became unconstitutional. Go figure.

Libya, what about Libya? Seems to be going quite well if you ask me. Unlike the strategy employed by the Bush administration to unseat Saddam Hussein which cost the U.S. dearly, both in lives lost and national treasure, Obama seems to have accomplished his goal without placing american boots on the ground and/or driving America into the poor house in the process. On top of that, as it turns out, Libya was a much more worthy, humanitarian cause. Not a war based on lies about WMDs and/or Iraq's fictional involvement in 911.

Although I agree that the jobs bill is probably not the silver bullet to fix our economy, (I doubt that a silver bullet even exist) I have to say that at least it's a step in the right direction and it's definitely better than the non-existent jobs bill offered up by the GOP. What has the GOP done to create jobs?

It would be nice if the GOP had a constructive idea every once in a while, even if it was just to fool us into thinking that they care.
