District 9 show just what scum the human race are

I just finished watching District 9 a truly brilliant Alien Movie. I have never ever seen a movie
shot and directed this way.
The movie conveys a powerful message about human behavior, mostly the bad side.

Aliens get stuck here on earth and are treated like dirt, they are used for experiments and all sorts.
In the end , it shows the Alien for what they really are, a loyal race, a people of their word, and so
advanced it makes humans look like cattle in comparison.

We humans make these Aliens live in shanty towns and survive of tins of cat food.

I hope that if ever there were Aliens forced to live here, that this not what would take place.

There is going to be a new movie hopefully called District 10

can't wait

Great movie. The guy that played the lead, wotsisname? He was fantastic, great screen charisma, I hope to see more of his movies. And I hope they're worthy of him. A lot of great actors are going to waste for lack of a brilliant film these days.

District 9 could also be viewed as a lesson in the error of treating the minority different from the majority. A socialist propagnada film rather than showing humanity as scum.

The messaage is only valid to the veiwer outlook. From your crtique of the film I bet the commy undertones really change your view of the impact of the film.

Change the aliens to illeagal immigrants or the unemployed and see if your perception changes.

You seem very closed minded, as the movie portrays the worst in human behavior, but it is nothing we haven't seen in real life. I could compile a list of leaders, dictators, but I'm sure you will get the idea.

I was more upset that they ate all our cats food. Shame, poor cats.

There is a bit of a disagreement between D9 fans. Some reckon that the cat food is actually Methcathinone mixed inside the "catfood" tins, with the catfood.

Another thing you maybe missed out on is the location of D9, Johannesburg, South Africa where the crime so bad thanks to illegals. It concentrates on the influx of ALL Africans whom are in South Africa illegally. It's more than just the Prawns alone, well to me as a South African, this is what i see. As a country dealing with millions of illegals and then we are lucky enough that a alien race decide to park off over Johannesburg.

They can be happy they got "catfood" There are millions of South Africans (legal citizens) who has NOTHING.

Really got me angry

There are many types of human beings. Basing "fictional" judgement on "fictional" movies is pure and plain silly.

Grow up a bit, understand that there are bad people but there are also really good people. Stop comparing crappy made movies with reality.

Aliens "The Movie" is not the same thing being portrayed here..Not the same at all.
Aliens from the Alien trilogy are the ultimate fighting creatures, they are not Intellectual beings as
the District 9 reps are. They don't possess any technical ability,they are just pure killing machines .
so your analogy is full of fail.

I once came up with a theory that if a baby was born with immortality instead of being left alone it would probably be experimented on and people would try to kill it just to see if it can die some small children would probably attempt it as well but this is just hypothetical

I enjoyed the movie. Being set in South Africa it reminded me of the way the South African apartheid system treated black people. Sticking them in townships on the edge of towns reminded me of the camp created for the aliens.

I look forward to district 10.

And most people dont realize that the same thing is pretty much happening to them

Then you got the movie's message.

Sharlto Copley and Neil Blomkampf both wanted to make a documentary style movie based on the apartheid but instead of whites mistreating blacks, they decided it'd be more interesting to show humans mistreating aliens.

They did an earlier short for it that Peter Jackson got hold of and enjoyed which is why his company helped finance District 9.

Sure I read if they make another, it'll be a prequel showing how the aliens got there or something. And Sharlto's completely wasted in that crappy A-Team movie.
