Actually, That's a pretty small minded assumption. No disrespect to you personally either. I may want Ron Paul to win, but I have come across many posters here who don't. So with that being said, it would lead me to believe that those posters desire some other canidate to win.

Actually, I have found that there is more political diversity here then I originally thought prior to registering while lurking. I think it's unfair to label every member here at ATS as Ron Paul supporters. Even though I wish that everyone who is here loved Ron Paul, that's just not the case. However, This Country needs a man like Ron Paul now more than ever. Even if the brainwashed, weak minded sheople don't recognize that as of yet. ~SheopleNation

As it turns out, the Ron Paul ad previously mentioned was a PAID ad. Not a discussion or anything else. If it was removed for solicitation, ALL ads should be removed. It just so happens I took a screen shot of it cuz I was excited.

I hope this won't be removed for being off topic since it is a response to a MOD.

Wow... check out the NOT solicitation taking place right now!

i don't particularly care for all of the Elenin threads. I just skip over them. and i wouldn't think of complaining about them as there are people here who are very interested in those threads, and they have just as much of a right to engage in those conversations as i do in the topics i enjoy discussing. it seems to me that all of it is what makes ATS... ATS.

i DO think the idea of placing the threads in the 2012 election section is a good idea, though. since Ron Paul is a 2012 presidential candidate, it sounds like it is the most appropriate section for these threads. and it doesn't sound like an unreasonable compromise for the RP supporters to make with those who do not want to participate in those threads, as well as others not in the US who aren't interested. Especially if that makes it easier for the users to take advantage of the tools that are available to remove these posts from their recent topic stream.

As for that banner ad, i saw it too and it was a paid ad on the top of the page. but i think those are google ads and are randomized from google, so i don't see how that could be ATS playing favorites..... well.... maybe they were playing favorites with the boobie ad above... LMAO.

But, overall... you just gotta love a free society where you can post what topics you want and choose to not read the ones you don't want.

Do you realize that online ad networks have the ability to track IP information from users to deliver targeted advertisements directly to you, that are most likely to match your personal interests?

So, you're a Ron Paul supporter who likes busty women?

Well I definitely won't dispute liking busty women!
But I definitely do NOT like Bachmann nor do I have head lice. (regarding the RID ad that has been up the last several minutes) haha

That was my first thought too, since I've never seen such a busty ad on my page, but I do get a lot of shopping ads flashing at me very clearly after I've been doing google searches for those items. Someone was doing some different type of shopping, I guess!

well, then. i guess i should feel fortunate that the banner ad Gods have decided that i just need to work on my Masters Degree, and thankful that clearly there must not be an ad for midget jello wrestling porn.

In no way am I a Ron Paul supporter, admirer, or fan.
However, you think this is bad, just wait. Although I agree the hard core fans make everyday on ATS Ron Paul Day. Year in, year out.

I see all those threads too, and I just scroll.... on to the next. No big deal.

We've not removed any PAID RP ads. What we have removed are posts containing T&C violations, like links to places to contribute funds to the campaign, or links to petitions, or any post or thread violating the T&C. That's what we've removed, and will continue to remove.

Most of us have topics that drive us to distraction... ...and Ron Paul is one of them for me, as well...I'm already sick to the point of...well you get the idea.

But...

There is no denying he has a following here on ATS, and to attempt in anyway to steer the conversations would, and rightly so, open ATS to accusations of censureship. If we can talk about any politician, we must talk about Ron Paul, because he is, most unfortunately, relevant to any conversation of a political nature.

All you can do is ignore, as best you're able, them. ...and who knows? Maybe he'll get elected to the White House, and fail abjectly... Won't that be fun!?

LMAO! the ad Gods have never given me that one yet, they must already know that i don't own squat TO probate. my family isn't going to bust down the courtroom door trying to inherit my debt, that's for sure. that student loan guy, Columbia House Records, and Fingerhut are just going to be SOL

yes, i know it was off topic, but i hope the mods give me a hall pass for humor

I am bumping this thread to now implore the mods to please create a Ron Paul forum where any thread with “Ron Paul” in the title can go. At least that way I can ignore it, really I have just went on to the “recent posts” page and once again every second or third thread is about Ron Paul.

I joined a conspiracy forum, not a ron paul forum

Please do something about this.

Well they did just make a "2012 US elections" forum, why can't all thread's on RP just go in there?

That would work but lots of Ron Paul threads end up in other forums particularly the American political madness forum but I have seen them in others. I will admit however most do end up in the 2012 forum.

I dont get what the problem is??? Im not voting for Ron Paul, and my mind is strong enough to not let these threads get to me.... Why are people threatening LEAVING ATS over an election? At least hes a small Gov. Person... but I agree its a lot of people here... I hope he gets the nomination so he can stop crying about it
