The whisper of 'he/she cant win' is the most corrosive meme in politics. The 'wasted vote' idea is the ultimate weapon deployed by the big interests against anybody that wont take the payola and tow the line.

Its been highly effective in both the USA and the UK and keeping it a 2 party system.

This is why a whole generation now doesn't bother to vote at all. Why bother to go out to a voting booth and vote for people that you know for a fact don't care about you, wont work for you. If the choice is between two despicable losers why bother at all, why gift it the appearance of legitimacy.

Vote for who you want to win or stay home.

Wow your history knowledge is not very good. Why even comment with such inaccuracies. Teddy formed the Bull Moose party after it was obvious he wouldn't get the Republican nomination and than got crushed in the election of 1912.

He did however give a speech after he was shot in an assasinaton attempt leading it off with these words. "Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot; but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose."

Funny, We were all just thinking the same thing about you, kro. Your "history knowledge" is at a level where you have no business giving people a hard time for their "history knowledge".

And by the way... He formed the bull moose party because he got tired of William Howard Tafts growing conservatism... You say it was obvious he wouldn't get the election?

Roosevelt far outpolled Taft in the primaries. But Taft controlled the party organization and the convention, which renominated him in June.[3] Before the final vote, Roosevelt had said he would accept nomination from a new "honestly elected" convention. He ordered his delegates to abstain from voting in rebuke of Taft's "steamroller tactics

yeah.... you have no idea what you are talking about... don't you think this post of yours is a bit....hypocritical?

en.wikipedia.org...

I have seen you say one factual statement.... which is that Roosevelt lost that election.......

Everything else you said was completely wrong.... as has been pointed out numerous times in this thread by numerous people.

Maybe next time, don't be so afraid of reading..... you wont make so many mistakes and incorrect statements if you do.

Peace and love.

Did you read what you just wrote? There are those who would say that talk of a hidden government running the world in secret, is nonsense.

Maybe it will incite a revolution where we do not accept who gets elected. We are the people after all.

Not because Ron Paul is taking off in the polls and in popularity, but because of the fall many are setting themselves up for.

What happens if and when he doesn't make it past the primaries?
I sure hope no one commits suicide if this "explosion" turns out to be a dud.

true.

let's hope, if RP becomes POTUS, he doesn't do a 180 like Obama did.

i don't believe he will but you never know for sure.

i still like him though

what i fear btw:
if RP is legit and not 'bought for' he might meet a similar fate as JFK.
or is that just crazy thinking?

been pondering about that a lot.

To begin with, we were screwed either way we voted last time.

The two options were either fast or slow. Same direction regardless.

As far as an "unexpected" 180, it was completely expected. Everything said about his being a marxist and his friends being the same have proven out.

Your fears for RP? Yeah friend. I feel ya.

One thing I can say about old "barry",

I've talked to some fairly liberal friends and family. Most of all of us are seeing the exact same way. Talking to my sister-in-law the other day (who I swore was a socialist).....she and my bro are expecting the same things in the near future.

Kinda weird to be so politically different and still going to the same spot.

THANKS BARRY!

Barack Obama. Bringing people together through planned chaos.

Not sure if anybody mentioned this yet, but last night during the money bomb for his birthday (in which the goal was 1.5 million, and that goal was surpassed) the site was attacked. They got it back up and running pretty quick, but wonder who was behind it...

Have you ever read the constitution, friend?

Tenth ammendment: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it (the Constitution) to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the People."

That's the way it is SUPPOSED to be. Don't like it? Then move? Cause the Constitution isn't gonna change just for you to not have to print out a rulebook.

Any freaking 10 year old can log onto these polls.

Very funny!

I swear, you're a troll. Everytime I see you post something it seems like you're trying to derail the thread.
Would you like to tell me what TEN year olds you know of that are interested in politics enough to log onto Fox news and vote for Ron Paul?

Well you better pray he does as he is the only chance ,however a longshot to save the USA total collapse. Because Obama & Romney are establishment puppets bought and paid for by the elite.

And this is why RP will never make it past the primaries. Ron Paul can't compete with TPTB and the "elites". It's going to be Romney. I won't vote for Romney, but the fix is in, people.

Isn't it funny how things are moving unstoppably in favor of Ron Paul, despite all these hit and run posters with their tired little one liners, "he's loony" and "TPTB will never let Ron Paul win", as if we should all just forget about it, and go with an Establishment candidate because the whole system is a lie. Those people are weak little cowards, if they really feel that way. If it's true, it makes me want to push harder for Dr. Paul. They rely on keeping people divided, so they can manipulate the small margins, but let's see them manipulate the grass roots tsunami that's building. Here's a few more polls of interest...

Ron Paul Takes New Hampshire Young Republicans Straw Poll With 45 percent of Vote

It’s been a good week for Ron Paul: a statistical tie at the Ames Straw Poll in Iowa last Saturday, a thousand New Hampshire voters at the Concord, New Hampshire office opening Wednesday night, and today, a resounding victory in the New Hampshire Young Republicans Straw Poll in New Castle.

With 45% of the vote, Paul soundly beat his closest rivals at this traditional lobster bake, with Mitt Romney earning 10% of the vote, followed by Thaddeus McCotter and Rick Perry, tied at 8%.

Ron Paul Leads Bachmann, Perry in Two Recent Polls; Media Doesn’t Care

In a new survey from New Hampshire Journal/Magellan Strategies, 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul takes third place, besting Michele Bachmann by 4 percent and trailing the second place candidate, Rick Perry, by the same percentage. The survey was conducted on August 15th and August 16th among New Hampshire Republicans and Republican-leaning independent likely voters.

*snip*

Among top tier candidates in the New Hampshire survey only Paul and Romney have higher favorable to unfavorable ratings among independents, quite possibly proving Paul’s ability as a 2012 contender.

I love seeing the establishment quaking in their boots. The more fear mongering I see against Ron, the more I know he is doing his job. So keep up the good work. As to those who say Ron will meet a JFK end - what do you think will happen then to those of us who know what is going on behind the scenes? They would have just reacted a monster.

As to the comments about Ron buying votes in the straw poll - I heard the same thing about Bachmann....so nice try. When I see what the Democrats and the Republican parties have to offer, I know they will continue to be the puppets of the establishment and further erode the globe in a fiscal abyss.

If Ron doesn't make it past the primaries, it won't be the end. Just means that I will accelerate my prepping....cause I know none of the other fools have a clue how to fix this economic mess we are in.

Our last chance is Ron Paul. My vote had been decided for a while, before I can start listening lies and false promises from other candidates in campaign. Ron is giving us the ultimate opportunity for a pacific revolution, if we don't take it another kind of revolution might come.

True enough, I was more referring to the beginning of his campaign. At least we have many years of Dr. Paul's voting records and actions in office to gauge his honesty and consistency...

Ron Paul - Mr. End the Fed - jumps to Bernanke's defense, dings Perry
By NBC's Jo Ling Kent

CONCORD, N.H. -- Congressman Ron Paul wasted no time here joking that "some Southern governor," (referring to his governor, Rick Perry, but not naming him), makes him look moderate.

"I have never once said Bernanke committed treason," the Texas congressman said, chuckling. That was greeted with thunderous applause from the 600 supporters awaiting him at a campaign office opening.

How long has Paul been in office?

Yet you don't think he is like any other Washington insider,

Good luck with that.

I will be watching.
