I've noticed many want to interject their opinions on China which really has nothing to do with the oil reserves in the "Americas"

Sounds like some have an agenda....

I'd love nothing more than to leave the Saudis hanging in the wind.

No government in the world is going to release a true figure of it's oil reserve. it's a matter of national security. And though OPEC might have an idea they're not going to state a true figure either because if at anytime in human history an orginisation has been signed to magnitude of acts it's OPEC

Agree. However we need to observe the global stance towards a Oil Producing country that might give us some idea as per how much do they really have/not have in real. If you see co-operative agreements/deals/trade conducted/not conducted by the oil customer with a particular oil producing country, then you know something is up.

One thing I noticed about those numbers is exactly what you pointed out. The numbers fluctuate widely.
I wonder how this newer data changes those numbers...?

It wont matter how it might change since majority of them are not reliable. I know one dude who is a scientist (geo spatial and remote sending studies) and he is into PEAK OIL. He travels the world studying various subjects including Glaciers and Shales. One of these days i'll have to invite him over for a few cold ones

Lets see what he has to offer.

Buy other people's cheap oil and gas first

Then use your own last

There is a tone of oil and gas in the US & the Arctic

Hoarding is a safety net

Every country does it
