They start off at $100,000.

For that amount you could deck out an underground shelter in the hills and ride your bike to it when the SHTF.

Parts have got to be a pain to get and probably expensive as well.

as a bike mechanic, here are some parts that can get you much farther:
-full tires, or how they are called in english: no tube, they are full of a syntetic material. heavy and not confortable, they can't flat and that's enough in shtf situation.
-nice geared mtb are tough, but can't withstand the abuse for a prolonged time, because the transmission is outside. you can find internal geared hubs, with gears ranging fron 3 to 16 depending from the cost and the need. heavy and a bit more energy absorbing, this things don't need mainteinance and can last decades
-36 spokes wheels, possibly 26" or less, can be tough enough.
