I was just emailed this (don't know if it's already on ATS, if it is please redirect to the original thread) link, earloomz.com... and found it to be pretty compelling.

When I have some time I'll try to find out more about the company that is trying to raise funds to bring this "thing" up from the briny deep. The most interesting parts to me are the fact it looks surprisingly like the "Millennium Falcon" of Star Wars fame and the sea bed seems to have been scraped clear from this thing "landing/crashing" and sliding a few meters...

Have a look ATSers and let's see if we can discover anymore about it. I truly hope it's not yet another interweb hoax, that would be sad.

Springer...

Surely that would be an USO as opposed to a UFO?

Interesting find, will have a read.

Bad "Amigo". A thread was started a couple of days ago. Don't forget to use the "Search" feature now

Hi Springer,

There are multiple threads on this, including at the link below (which is one of the better ones in the last few weeks about this story):

Mystic 60 metre big circular object found on the the baltic sea floor by treasurehunters

Oh, and its almost certainly a caldera.

The most recent round of press coverage has resulted in a further half-dozen or so threads about this story in the last 48 hours.

All the best,

Isaac

Mmm.

Perhaps Springer was merely highlighting the problem about members posting threads without checking if the topic was already covered (whether by doing a search or checking the front page of the relevant forum - which already lists this topic at least once or twice - or the brief lists of new topics on the MyATS page which includes this topic in the list of the five most recent threads) by posting a spoof of such threads?

All the best,

Isaac
