Afghan Cops Killed In NATO 'Friendly Fire' Air Strike

Up to four Afghan policemen were killed and two injured in an air attack by the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) on a police checkpost in Nooristan province in eastern Afghanistan, reports said on Monday.

The Provincial Governor's office said the checkpost at Wanna had been targeted by ISAF aircraft on Sunday even though an Afghan national flag was hoisted there.

Also, it said all police personnel present there were clad in the official uniform which would have enable..

So do these Afghan police officer have some color to indicate that they were allies or not. Does all NATO and Afghan troops have their colors(meaning allied colors) to prevent this thing from happened again?

Besides how many refugees in Kosovo were bombed and killed b NATO warplanes and such? or the KLA? Or the Libyan rebels and stuff.

they shoulda put the opium down and looked up for a second. no seriously why do these reports keep coming in from every freaking country that is supposed to be getting helped by NATO. i dont remember freindly fire happening at nearly the same rate in past wars

I don't know but friendly fire incidents in the past are a lot worse than now. Just look at the friendly fire rates in the Gulf War.

During the first Gulf War, 35 Americans killed by friendly fire from fellow American forces. That's really high and it's 24%.
