I remember in the 50's I stood and said the pledge like all the other kids in school and I learned to love and respect my country.

When JFK, RFK, MLK, and even Lennon were shot dead I said to myself there is something wrong here.
All those people had one thing in common. They were Liberals.
Can we remember any assassinations of other Party members?

There is a not so secretive, powerful and armed... anti -liberal faction here in the US and they are in a position to kill people who oppose a certain path for us.

These days I still say the pledge and sing the anthems but I do a whole lot of wondering about Americas roots and actual purpose too. Especially when I read about how other countries disallow toxins in their foods we allow here, those people have 4 day work week, nationalized health care and even humane prison systems.

Makes you wonder.

I think what the OP is trying to say is that's it hypocritical to accuse one country of being controlled because everyone is controlled in one way or another.
