In a recent experiment it has been shown that French armour denied the French victory at Agincourt, however their armour was the best quality from Milan.

I thought it was a well known fact that the Armour played a major part in the victory, and it had nothing to do with the quality. There had been heavy rain before the battle and the ground was boggy, as a result the French (with their heavy armour) were slow and less nimble.
They had the numerical advantage but we had the tactical advantage and utilised it.
I really do not see a "Euro" conspiracy here... but then i am not an expert and am just going from my memory.
Peace

I saw this same report, and I agree that at first it smacks of the Europhiles trying to degrade history, and explain away the complete and utter destruction of french nobility by English longbowmen, on the ENGLISH land of France.
But look at it this way, they got modern men to don the armour and run on a treadmill, tested blood O2 levels, and then made excuses that the French Knights had to march in knee deep mud for days and then fight. My words. SO what!!
What it shows is the arrogance and tactical ineptidude of the French commanders, in facing this battle, and the genius of King Henry, if fighting from a strong position of defence
If the French had been clever they would have rested their men before the attack, however it has been shown that they were more interested in gaining ransom from the capture of nobles, and so charged headlong (slowly it seems) into a wooded culvert, and got hammered by English arrows
So in the end I don't care if they try to "re-write" our history, they cannot change the fact that the French on that of St Crispin took a damn good kicking, six of the best trousers down!
That will never change.
Agincourt
KING. What's he that wishes so?
My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin;
If we are mark'd to die, we are enow
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
God's will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires.
But if it be a sin to covet honour,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England.
God's peace! I would not lose so great an honour
As one man more methinks would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call'd the feast of Crispian.
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian.'
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say 'These wounds I had on Crispian's day.'
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with advantages,
What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words-
Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester-
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

Take heart CPUK. And know that as long as there are people in our land such as you and I, there the deeds of our Heros, no matter the words of others, Those deeds shall never go unremembered.
Our culture, YES English Culture is same, from the world cup flag waving masses. Our history in its more that 3000 year length shall continue to be passed from generation to generation.
Derision and scorn poured on those that cast accusation of racism on the banner of St George, Mirth at those they would talk us down. But more importantly, talk of your heritage with pride, and never let any man put you asunder.
We know the deeds, and knowing these makes us stronger. pick up your shield and take your spear, and chariot of fire. Never forget, this is not called the scared Ilse for nothing.
This in its heart, truely is "gods" country for there is none like it.

So why not Crispy frog day!??edit on 20/7/2011 by JakiusFogg because: (no reason given)
No, it suggests that the French were better equipped for a specific type of battle, but it was the wrong type.

They have done scientific experiments with French armour that suggests they would have won.
Where is the lie?
They are trying to rewrite history to fit the EU agenda of a superstate.
Sorry for asking and for the off-topic, but is it "is indeed being rewrote" or "is indeed being rewritten"? That got me a little confused.

Crankypants by name but as a student of military history and a sociology I have to say that our history is indeed being rewrote for the uneducated masses of the EU to accept their influence
